Wow, it has been awhile since I have posted anything on here and it's all due to not hearing anything from POS, arrghhh........UNTIL TODAY! So I checked my status update today as I religiously do every single day and to my surprise I saw an IN PROCESS, yahoo!

I am hoping that it will not be much longer as this whole process has already been 18 months since the application was initially submitted. Our application was recieved in POS since June 2012 and we recieved an AOR from POS on July 20 2012. But as of today, on ECAs it says our application was in process since August 21 2013 which is amazing news!

I am wishing you all the best guys, keep your head up and just keep praying. I will keep you posted, have a good week everyone!

yayyyy!!!! I am actually thrilled that you heard from them. You of all people who has been waiting even longer than those of us on here complaining.. you truly deserve it! I hope you hear from them super soon :D

I get upset when POS processes apps out of order and isn't overly fair... but YOU, my friend, DESERVE to hear something. I couldn't be happier for you!

Spreadsheet updated! Do let us know when you hear so I can put a date under that PPR column for u! :P

Good Day to all of my POS posters!

It's been a while since I have been around. I started getting these really bad headaches that don't seem to ever go away so I have been just taking a break from everything.

GIGI I am so very sorry to hear of the outcome of application. I can't imagine what you are going through especially when you know their reasons are absolutely ridiculous. Keep pushing forward. We are all here to support you.

Nothing new on our application. I've ordered notes and hope they will arrive in a couple of weeks. Has anyone else received notes lately? I am not expecting much. My husbands exclusion order will be up in a month so looks like after that we may not need an ARC. I am hoping September will bring lots of good news, not just for us but for everyone dealing with POS!

Well I got news aswell. Checked my ecas at 2 and it showed a dicision had been made the office will contact you. But havnt receive ppr. Anyone with similar sitiation.

Hi Priestman!
I have no idea what this means. Recently one of the forum members GIGI had a similar situation. Her husband had his interview, a few months later te status changed to decision made and they subsequently received a snail mail letter saying their application was denied. I am in no way suggesting this is your case but thought I would share what happened with them. People from VISA exempt countries often go straight to DM. Perhaps other members can let you know what they have seen from past posters.
Keep us updated! All the best.

Hey priestman, I know you were feeling rather frustrated after your interview and rightfully so. They may have just needed time to workout some kinks and finalized some things in your file. Decision made on e-cas without hearing anything yet is not a guaranteed refusal ESPECIALLY if you were not needing ARC or other documents. If they made a decision and you still needed to submit things, I would be more worried because then they're basically saying we made a decision and aren't even asking for required things because it was a negative decision, which is what I was worried about with Gigi who got DM when she still needed ARC. You, if I remember correctly, didn't need ARC.. so DM could mean positive OR negative decision.. no way to really tell until you hear from them.

Surely we are all pullin for you and hope it's positive. Please let us know when you hear and hang in there!

On a happy note, I'm glad to see POS pickin up their slack and handling cases long overdue. I was more than a little ticked off last week when people were getting PPR out of turn when others, like yourself, from mid 2012 were still waiting.. But the last few days give me optimism that things are happening over there.

Fingers crossed for u.

Fingers crossed for news from POS today!

Fingers, toes, everything crossed... Even my eyes!!!
It seems like POS is slowly getting some news out to people. Someone mentioned a while back that things likely slow down with migrant farm worker applications in the spring and that leads into summer vacations.
Give us some good news today!

???Anyone get news today?

Hello, I come to this board in need of some advice, I am currently Sponsoring my 19-year-old son, he lives with me in Canada and is going to school here, He finished his medicals in mid-June and his application status changed to "in process". In July we received a letter asking him to leave Canada to continue with his Sponsorship. I am currently making plans for him to go but he has been in Canada with me since he was 8 and I do not want him out of the country for long and missing school.

My question is, how long must he stay out of Canada before he gets an answer from POS?

Hello All:

I am fairly new to this process. My husband is a Canadian citizen and he placed a sponsorship application for me last November. Processing by POS office was confirmed in March of this year but I have not heard anything since then. The wait is beginning to drive me nuts and from this forum it seems like it has only just begun as I see there are people waiting even longer. I am hoping that participating in the discussions here will bring me some comfort and hopefully pass the time.

Hi Relica,

Unfortunately I'm not super up to date on the parent-child sponsorship, so I can't fully answer your question. Maybe send a CSE (case specific enquiry) to POS to ask them for possible timelines? You could also check the posted processing times on the CIC website and use that to estimate how much longer you might have. Good luck!
