No probs. Yeah, they're majorly inconsistent across the board. Reading clips from other people's notes I've seen some very professional-looking, well documented, on point. Others looked like they were written by a trained kangaroo

Our last set of notes basically said the concerns were our age difference of 3 yrs, 1 child in common, PA requires ARC because exclusion order not up, Canada checks required, from proof of relationship it looks okay, photos suggest dating for a while, had child together, married prior to departure, dates we visited and photos appear natural. And said for senior officer to review.
I don't actually see any of what is written as concerns (but its my relationship)! Is this how others notes appeared? Were there legit concerns identified? Would you say by the officer stating everything looks okay means that interview not required?
Our next set of notes is due next week so I will see why happens....

Behopeful - I cannot believe a 3 year age difference would be a concern!!! What is up with that? I am 5 years older than hubby so if they are worried about you with a child in common, unbelievable.....does the stupidity ever end? It seems as though there is absolutely no common sense in this process.

I feel like if I order my notes and see something like that on my file I will lose it. Can't afford to go there mentally right now. Deep breathing.......

Wow priestman the same thing happened to you. Believe me when I say I know exactly how u feel. It's disgusting that they can let ppl in this country who can't speak English and stay on welfare forever. and won't let ppl who are married and work hard and speak English be together. This appeal process is gruelling and worse than applying for spousal sponsorship. They say it can take up to a year and a half. So a lot of patience is needed.
I knowwwwww everyone is getting frustrated with waiting for an answer. But look at the bright side ur probably just waiting cause they are jerks making u wait but your answer is yes. So once these few months r over ur good. I almost wish we had to wait 18 months to get a yes then go through a while new process that takes even longer and they still might say no.
Has anyone watched that show border security. Does it make u as mad as it makes me watching it. I don't know why but I'm starting to hate all government workers. Even though I wish I had a job with the govt.
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I hate this. I have literally run out of patience.!!!! .

Hi gigi, good to hear from you and thanks for encouraging us amidst your own struggle right now. I was laughing about the border security show - I just watched a bunch of those!! Yes it can make me mad when watching, especially when they give such a hard time to the people visiting their boyfriends and girlfriends. I want my tax dollars used to fight crime and thankfully they do some of that as well.

The show that really irked me though was the young guy coming from the UK to visit his girlfriend and her family and he said while he was there he was going to help them build a garage. The border officer actually told him that he may not admit him because that was an "intent to work illegally"!! Can you believe it? Then the border officer basically drags out his process painfully and then admits him after-all. Why must they needlessly torture people? That is the attitude that is crazy-making for people.

Anyway I hope you stay strong and persevere and please keep us posted on your progress. Prayers & blessings.

well update on our file --
- Aug 22 = Stage 1 AOR
- Sept 2 = Sponsorship Approval
now the TNT wait begins for us I hope we get so good progress in September onwards for everyone that is waiting.

POS is very inconsistent when it comes to AOR. It is a 50/50 chance to be honest. We didn't receive an AOR at 3 months so we emailed and they confirmed receipt. I would suggest doing the same if you haven't heard from them at 2-3 months after stage 1 approval.

Hi coleenjgirl - Behopeful is correct about the Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR) and CICs so called "process". Some people get them, some do not. I waited 3.5 months after my file was transferred to POS then sent a Case Specific Enquiry (CSE) via e-mail with my file details and they responded back to me (also by e-mail) within 48 hours.

The CIC service standard for AORs is supposed to be 3 months maximum at visa offices (VOs) abroad but it is hit and miss. So if it has been 2-3 months for you, I concur with Behopeful's suggestion. Blessings.

Hello all of my POS lurker peeps.....where are y'all? Drop by and say hello, I keep having to hang out on other threads (hello my JA friends ) because we are being too quiet.

My pastor once told me that the most effective weapon of spiritual warfare waged against us is discouragement. I know we all feel it sometimes, just know that we are being spiritually encouraged and uplifted by someone's prayers all of the time. Here is one for all of us missing our beloveds along with a scripture.

"You hear, O LORD, the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry." Psalm 10:17

God, please give me faith in myself. Not only on the days when I am going great and winning and nothing seems impossible, but especially on the days when I wonder if I am brave enough, smart enough, strong enough. Don't let me quit, not ever. Let me keep encouraged. No matter how many people discourage me, doubt me, laugh at me, warn me, think me a fool, don't let me listen. Let me hear another voice telling me, "You can do it, and you will!"

If nobody else in the whole world seems to care or believe in me, let me believe in myself. I know there will be times when I doubt my own ability, I will be discouraged, on the verge of despair. Don't let me give up, please hang on to me. Fan the fires of my faith so that I will persist. Give me even more courage in myself. You are the source of my abilities and my belief.
