    It's really very simple: 1. If you want to settle in Quebec, apply for CSQ, once you get it apply for PR. 2. If you get your CSQ, then change your mind and want to settle in another province, forget about the CSQ & apply EE or PNP.

    You have to land before the expiry date on your COPR, which is 1 year from your medical exam. The police certificate is not relevant.

If I had not read your original post, I would have understood your (confusing) question as asking if you could take a leave of absence from your job, and return to Canada...

    She can stay until her work permit expires. Is it an open or closed one? If closed, she need a new LMIA for any new job. I *think* her healthcare remains valid, but I'd double check, if I were her.

    Unfortunately, yes, I think the remote working elsewhere will make it difficult. I'm not up on current QC processing times, but in the past applications showing in-demand skills + bilingualism used to go through pretty fast. Good luck !!

    You would be wasting your time. There is no barrier to you getting married, and you mention that you could get a visa for Australia which would enable you to establish common law.
