Brutal Winter and a Jobless Immigrant family

How rude! And how ignorant! :( :( :( While the OP's account does not apply to *all* immigrants, it's a very realistic view for many, many newcomers. It is also very realistic for many young Canadians. One of my sons & his friends spend the year travelling from one end of the country to the...

Brutal Winter and a Jobless Immigrant family

BUT, we can't compare this: the U.S. has no PR visa stream which grants PR *without a confirmed job offer* (spouse stream excepted).

Brutal Winter and a Jobless Immigrant family

So, you don't like seeing/hearing Real Life accounts/experiences? It is NOT always easy to find a job in one's domain, or at the career level one had before immigrating. Sometimes one has to take any job available to make ends meet. I applaud & admire the OP for doing so, & for having the...

    Marrying a Canadian + having a baby = PR?

You can apply "Outland", while "in" Canada, but visa office depends on your country of origin, you don't get to pick the one with the shortest processing time! Lots of information on the family board here.

Confused!!! Express entry - language test and what it gets you

In a nutshell, it's the total number of points that count. There's no weighting, for particular skills/experience etc. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/index.asp http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/publications/employers/express-entry-presentation-briefing.asp

    T4 in requested documents

I'm not an expert, but I don't believe it has any relevance to immigration. Use it for your tax returns.

    T4 in requested documents

Curious to know where this is requested, but if it is, it's an employment-related document, relevant for income tax returns. It has nothing to do with banking.
