In Home caregiver LMIA approval from Canada

lots of threads here about processing times... As a very rough estimate, completely off-the-top-of-my-head: 2 - 4 or more months for LMIA + processing time for the caregiver's work permit (varies by country).

how do i add my spouse info in?

Right. Just curious, why are you applying for EE & not a spouse visa?

    Is he lying ????

Best case scenario: he's being optimistic & encouraging/guessing. Worst case scenario: he's lying. Bottom line: no one freaking knows... And that "no one" may include CIC ... :o

All LMO have a duration ??

How long is a piece of string? :(. Big thread on the subject here: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/lmia-application-processing-time-t235591.0.html

All LMO have a duration ??

Yes, sort of ::) But once you have an LMIA & a job, you can then more easily (in theory) apply for PR under various streams ... (Hey, I don't decide/write CIC policies/manuals - I agree it's confusing). ::)

All LMO have a duration ??

Obligation to settle in Quebec still binding after 3 years of absence?

I truly think you are overthinking this :). As explained above, validity date on CSQ refers to the amount of time you have/had to apply to CIC for PR. You already landed. You are PRs. It's now a non-issue. I do note, following other posts above, & checking the RAMQ, that the CSQ is requested...

Obligation to settle in Quebec still binding after 3 years of absence?

No, there is no difference landing in Quebec as a new FSW PR with CSQ, to landing elsewhere in Canada as a new FSW PR. Why? Because you will be processed, in Qc as everywhere else, by CBSA. Federal agency. (My personal landing story is atypical: I was already in Qc as a visitor, &...

how can i get my full child custody

June1990, what province are you living in? As a general rule, in Canada both parents whether married or unmarried, together or separated, have rights AND responsibilities towards a child. If you & the baby's father can not come to a mutual agreement, you will have to go to Family court in...

I've never once been asked for my CSQ for any reason whatsoever after COPR/landing.

    Suggestions Required for Newcomer

I would choose your option 1. Moving to a new country is very stressful at the best of times, moving in April gives your wife time to settle in a bit. In addition to the risk of not being able to fly late in pregnancy, I can't imagine how stressful it would be to arrive in a strange place &...
