I understand what you are saying, but it would be very stressful. I guess it doesn't really affect me to wait another 6 months for a new oath ceremony.

someone on above thread even waited 6 months to even hear back for rescheduling.

You should not take chance with rescheduling unless it is extremely important like life saving surgery or extreme family emergency. You can always reschedule your flight.

I am fine with rescheduling (even if its 6 months) as long as they do not ask me to start all over again. I am traveling to Europe for couple of weeks and have booked everything. Flights, hotels, planned vacation in office (me and wife both). It would be impossible to move this trip without incurring heavy losses. I am ok with a 6 month delay to citizenship.

You really can get a passport in 5 days with minimal stress, especially as you have time right now to arrange it so you just walk in and get it.

Hello everyone, can anyone help me.
>September 12, 2024: Citizenship application
>September 13, 2024: AOR
>January 17, 2025: Citizenship test invite
>January 27, 2025: Citizenship test completes, Passed
>January 29, 2025: Received Finger Prints request
>February 7, 2025: Physical Presence and Language skill updated to completed
>February 11, 2025: RCMP detachment Original document for fingerprint report ready for pick up.
>February 11, 2025: I personally sent it thru Canadapost via Expresspost since RCMP detachment want me to send it so I am sure it was sent.
>February 17, 2025 (Holiday/ Family Day) : Canadapost tracking updated to Delivered to IRCC Vancouver office.

based on everyone's experience, how long is the waiting time for my application to update? my Background check and Prohibitions are still in Progress. My wife's application are all completed except for Citizenship Ceremony (not Started) I think its waiting on my file since I am the primary applicant.

Anyone can share same experience? thank you in advance

Emailed oath office for not receiving instructions to download e-cert. This is the reply I got. I guess it is not unusual.

Thank you for your enquiry. Our records show that your ceremony is scheduled for February 21, 2025. You will receive the e-Certificate Download Instructions after your ceremony once your certificate is issued. You have to attend the ceremony, take the oath and then send us your signed oath form before we can issue your certificate.

Yes that’s how it works. You will receive it after they received your signed oath form
