Got Oath letter. Online ceremony. I was expecting to be in person.

You can always change it to in-person. I emailed to switch to in-person, and they rescheduled me for another week.

Got my Oath letter today (February 15, 2025) for the Oath scheduled on February 26, 2025.

Submitted : Sep 25, 2024
AOR : Oct 3, 2024
Application : 2 adults
Main applicant : Test completed on Dec 21, Language and Physical completed on Jan 15. BG and Prohibition are in progress.
Dependent : BG completed on Nov 23, Test completed on Dec 10, Language and Physical completed on Jan 15. Prohibition in progress.

It seems dependent's prohibition not started and waiting for the main applicant's BG check to clear. This may take a while since no update in a month.
Do you think IRCC processes linked applications both together?
Can we split/unlink the applications to at least let the dependent's application go further and finishes the prohibition and oath? any suggestion?

Yes both application needs to be completed for scheduling oath.

You are not allowed to give oath outside of Canada. They will make you cut up your PR card. You won't be able to travel back to Canada.

You have to have very strong reason (serious medical condition) to get approval for oath outside Canada. You can search the forum. It will take months and months to get approval for this.

Got oath letter today feb 17, in person ceremony.

Unfortunately my interview is cancelled which was scheduled for today due to bad weather. Received email confirmation on the same. They called us back and said that it will be rescheduled on the first week of March.

Really making us crazy as they could have scheduled it online instead of in-person.

Got the revised schedule email today to appear on 3rd March.

Check the tracker. If I remember correctly, average is >60 days, so still within normal range (and without doing a statistics thing, my guess would be up to 90 days still not unusual, using a pulled-from-nowhere hunches about standdard deviation.)
