Hi,

My wife is here on a visitor visa and unfortunately her PR has still not come through.

Her 6 months are set to expire soon and I'm wanting to just border hop, to renew her 6 months.

I wanted to ask for recommendations. Where are the border agents tougher? Roosville,BC or Carway, AB?

Also, are there any documents i should have with me that may help ease the entrance back into canada?

I don't want any problems, in terms of my wife getting rejected. Any help or recommendations are appreciated. Plz help!

File for a visitor extension.

There is no way to guarantee she will be accepted back as you are clearly trying to outsmart the system... CBSA officers tendto not like people who try to abuse the system.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

I want to file for extension but the problem is, is that her stay expires in less than 30 days (it expires in 20 days, to be exact).

CIC website wants at least 30 days before it expires.

Further, I went through the questionnaire that determines if you can apply for extension and the documents you require. It requires "bank account statement" or some proof of enough finances to remain in canada.

The thing is, my wife is originally from India and she doesn't have access to her account. And while here in Canada, I'm fully supporting her. So what can i really do?

The 30 days is a recommendation not a requirement. She can definitely submit an extension. You should provide your bank account.

Avoid flagpoling at the border for an extension - much higher risk of refusal. Apply for an extension within Canada.
