what documents did you send along with your TRV application? i see lots of approvals but no one's sharing that one vital piece of info. :p

my wife is a recent grad and i'm the only one providing her financial support. she doesn't have a job and isn't enrolled in anything at the moment. she is staying with her parents right now in her home country but i want to bring her here to canada while her PR application is in process.

Hi

I have a same question as yours.
I'm not working so what all documents can I submit ?

Also can anyone please suggest what should be the step if TRV is rejected once for a PR application in process and reason for due to relationship proof being insufficient?
Does it impact the processing of file ?

Help would be really appreciated

Thnx Maggie

We applied for TRV online for my wife on June 8. Today on June 24 she received message on her online account to submit her passport to CIC to final her application process. Earlier than this, we applied her TRV online last month(May) and was refused after 23 days.

This might give you guys some idea on processing times.
Hope this time her Visa is approved otherwise there's no valid reason for asking applicant's passport.
Last time refusal reasons were: Travel History, Family ties and applicant's funds.

Good luck for all other applicants who are waiting for decision. i'll update when we receive ppt back.

relationship proofs are: marriage certificate, marriage photos, pre-marriage and post marriage photos, engagement & reception photos, call or chat history, passport page & adhar card showing husband's name and address. joint bank account (if any) newspaper ad for adding husband's surname (if used). sponsor's travel details for as many times he/she visited the principal applicant in India ( passport pages with entry stamps or flight tickets). there can be more proofs depending on the case.

TRV refusal have no negative effects on PR application.

Hope this helps!

What did you submit to address the reasons?

What did you submit to address the reasons?

Family Ties: name and address of all family members. only my(sponsor's) address is from Canada. My wife's family and my family is in India. Earlier I thought family info form is sufficient but in second attempt I included my wife's family info plus my family info in complete detail in cover letter of my wife similar to family info form format.

Funds: Earlier I wrote financial support letter for my wife because my wife didn't have plenty of money in her account. This time her father put some money in her account and gave a notarized letter verifying the transaction and purpose of transaction. Now my wife has sufficient money in her account which she directly have access to. Also financial support from me. (air tickets, health insurance, hotel bookings etc. fully paid by me)

Travel history: My wife has no travel history but in cover letter showed her interest in traveling in future along with me(husband) to different locations other than Canada as well. But since she has support and ties in Canada so we showed her interest of visiting Canada as a first destination.

other than these points, all requirements were meeting already like our employment status, relationship proofs, medical, PCC, Tax forms, immigration status etc. I guess it's imp to include all details in your cover letter and attach documents which support your statements and whole story.

hope this gives some idea to other applicants.
