Oh I called the 1888 number but the CIC agent said he could access only the Sponsor side and had no access to the NDVO files. He then sent me the email id for NDVO. So I was wondering which phone number should I call? Can you please let me know? Thanks in advance!

Try VFS india not cic here :p that is what i meant. See if they can internally transfer passport to pr department instead of visitor visa department, or just wait till you get it back. You cant do anything unless you get ppr email anyways. hopefully it will all work out perfectly.

Just wait, they will call you for sure.....they did called my wife and asked if she still needs visitors visa....as spousal visa is ready too....I am pretty sure they will issue PR visa to you directly...

My concern is that hopefully this is the ACTUAL DM and not just a status change on their part. About a year ago they had changed the status for applicants to "In Progress" even though there was no progress been made and it gave a lot of false hopes for people. Hopefully, this DM is the final one and we can sail through easily.....

i agree with botsmith2004::::: may be its false alarm :::::but lets hope for the best because ecas is really unpredictable

I would suggest that you continue with applying for visitor visa until they call you to get the PR stamp.

You should wait for PPR. You would not want your passport to be stuck in the TRV process while you have PPR. Don't make a decision on a guess of what has almost never happened before. Wait for a couple of weeks and you'll know if the DM is real or not.

As far as whether it is actual DM or not, I can imagine that the timelines are pretty unbelievable from NDVO for PR. But if you read some of the posts from the Jan applicants who received DM, you can figure out that these are actual. See the post from a Jan applicant on page 25 of NDVO 2016 thread. The applicant was approved for both TRV and PR both and got a call from NDVO to check which visa would she like to be stamped on her passport, which shows that DM are real.

You have not yet applied for TRV right? So what harm in just applying online? It anyways takes 19 days for them to come to a decision and then they will ask for passport. Meanwhile if you get the PPR for PR then you can just withdraw. Simple....

Hi Friends,

i have been sending you message on requesting the documents that helped you to get TRV. I had earlier rejections of TRV before applying PR.

Will that affect my PR at first? will it delay my PR processing?

I am planning to apply TRV after AOR2, so need to gather all the required documents before that.

Please pass on me how to show the ties to my Country. I have been providing the vacation letter for a month given by HR, which i don't think they are looking into it.

Should I apply with Return tickets? what can be my vacation duration? Is it compulosry to provide the vacation letter? How can i address the "Dual Intent" reason.

Awaiting for the reply.

Thanks in advance :)

I believe that they do ask in one of the PR forms if you have been rejected for any applications before. IF you mention this, it should not matter since they treat each application on its own merits

Show ties to country by stating all your family is in India, you have been employed for xx years and need to return back for job. Or if you have loan to repay. Basically just follow the first page of this forum topic and you should be fine. Patiently read through the posts of the members of this topic and you will get all the info you need

I applied with return tickets. Else how would the officer know you intend to come back? They even ask for return tickets / duration of stay when you land here so yes you need to show with return tickets. Address the dual intent reason by saying you have applied for PR, the PR file # is xxxx and that based on the information provided on CIC website it takes 20+ months for PR to be processed and so you are applying for TRV to spend time with your husband during this long waiting period. Also that you will strictly follow the rules and will NOT do anything like overstaying, etc which would jeopardize your PR Application process by making you a criminal

Go for 2 weeks vacation with return tickets for those dates. Once you get the visa, you can always change the timelines as long as it is within the visa validity period

Awaiting for the reply.

Thanks in advance :)
