so sorry about your MP experience! She sounds so unprofessional! What I read about GCMS is that retrieving the electronic info has nothing to do with visa offices but that it is done through a centralized office in Canada! CIC invested millions of dollars in the database so this could be possible. And everyone asks for GCMS so what she said is a complete nonsense!!! Don't let it get to you!

We had a great experience with our MP, it all depends on the person you bump into I guess, no rule. They contacted Vienna before the average processing time and at the same time I got an interview invitation I heard from them with the same info. Maybe they even reminded Vienna of my existence When we informed them about the positive outcome of my interview they offered to ask for an update again.

I know it was nonsense about gcms notes. When she said that I knew she won't be of any help. I was very upset when I left from there but it's behind me know and I am not going to let her get to me. I am keeping positive thoughts and hope for the best.

If I were you I would write a very polite letter straight to your MP and tell him that your 20 member family will surely......remember him at election time!

I went to the MP's office today, and all I can say is what a disappointmet that was. The lady there pretty much told me to be patient, it's only been a few months over the processing times, there is nothing they can do. Then she said that since I requested GCMS notes last year they pulled my file and that also caused some delays. I told her it was an electronic printout not the physical file, so she sad it doesn't matter, they pull it. She was full of c..p

This is what she said about GCMS notes, they pull your file, then erase all the information from the printout that they don't want you to see and then they put you at the end of the line. I was ready to strangle her.

I was so upset I can't even tell you. Then she went on telling me that so, what is this your 3rd marriage? I could't believe her nerve and her attitude. I told her it was my 2nd marriage, then she asked how I immigrated to Canada, and look, your husband is younger then you. If this kind of people work in government offices then we are all screwed. So at the end she said they will send a letter to Ottawa not Vienna, because this is not an emergency!!!
I don't think I will be going back there with a consent to release the info.

I couldn't believe what was happening but the worst part was exactly what you said, she made me feel worthless, diminished. I will write a letter in a few days, but now just a thought of this experience brings me to tears. They will never understand what we are going through and the struggles we face every day.
I know this must end soon so we can go on with our lives.

I will for sure put a serious thought into writing this letter. I just need a few days to sort out my thoughts. MP' s should represent and help people, that's their job. I don’t know what the MP thinks about this but he certainly should not have someone like this work in his office.
