As a PNP applicant, the expectation is that you work and live in the province that nominated you. For how long I'm not too sure but I think it's for at least 1 year. If you have no intention of staying in a province that nominated you and you only used them to get pr status, you stand the risk of jeopardizing the program for others. Our nomination certificate clearly stated that if our intention was not to live in te province of nomination then our nomination coud be canceled.

Correct expect for the fact that there is no min and max time. its simple you stay in the province which nominates you until you get your citizenship otherwise you will be in trouble when you go for PR renewal or citizenship status.

Hi! people,
Good day to you all. Whats new in the house so far? Particularly, has anyone received (MR) in the house this week? Please do share.......I technically have resolved to checking my inbox and spam every 10mins.......(lol). I pray we all get it before the end of the week........(LET IT RAIN MRs)....... :) :) :). Please be kind to tell others in the wait when you get yours so we can be encouraged.

Happy waiting and Cheers!

You should contact the PNP which nominated you, tell them your situation.....that you applied for pr status before the certificate expired and you have not heard back from cic with aor. Ask them what can be done if your application is rejected and certificate now expired. Chances are they will be willing to reissue the certificate in this circumstances. You can ask them now hypothetically in the event the application is rejected. But you should not resubmit until you hear back from cic.
Chriscats,thank you.

Though it is worth the wait but PHHHHHEEEEEWWWWW! :'(. The wait for MR is killing me..... Gosssshhhhhhh!

5 weeks have gone.

MR has not been received yet!

Very disappointed! :o

hello everybody, i have question? For PNP we have to stay in same province? or after getting PR we can live in other province? inside canada guys...you know better than others....please share it.....if you have any idea...

As a permanent Resident, you have that right to move anywhere within the country.
But this is not favorable when it comes to apply citizenship. CIC will arise the question as you were nominated by the province and you intend to live in that province.
Moreover, these days i have learnt that also people who move from the province are receiving the letter from CIC if they move within certain period of time. They consider it fraud that you obtained PR under the PNP category and move from the province.

I am sure it has been received but the Ecas takes some time to update. Call CIC and they can help you with the date it was received, they got mine on 29 Apr but Ecas still says Application received. Hope they update it soon for us.

Thanks for your info.

It is good to know but if the status has not been changed that means things haven't been moved on.

Hopefully within these two weeks the status can be changed.

Hello All Seniors,

I applied for immigration within Canada under AINP. My timeline can be seen on spread sheet. I am visiting my home country Pakistan now a days and I got medical call. I am now confused that should I do my medical here in Pakistan or wait another month when I go back to Canada and do medical there? Does it make any difference? Will it effect the processing time?

Secondly, I am trying to call CIC call centre to ask same question but that number 1888-242-2100 is not working from Pakistan. Does anybody know any phone number which work from Pakistan.

Thank you in advance for your help.
