As a PNP applicant, the expectation is that you work and live in the province that nominated you. For how long I'm not too sure but I think it's for at least 1 year. If you have no intention of staying in a province that nominated you and you only used them to get pr status, you stand the risk of jeopardizing the program for others. Our nomination certificate clearly stated that if our intention was not to live in te province of nomination then our nomination coud be canceled.jjonghuny said:What permanent residents can do
As a permanent resident, you and your dependants have the right:
To receive most social benefits that Canadian citizens receive, including health care coverage.
To live, work or study anywhere in Canada.
To apply for Canadian citizenship.
To protection under Canadian law and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
You must pay taxes, and respect all Canadian laws at the federal, provincial and municipal levels.
You should contact the PNP which nominated you, tell them your situation.....that you applied for pr status before the certificate expired and you have not heard back from cic with aor. Ask them what can be done if your application is rejected and certificate now expired. Chances are they will be willing to reissue the certificate in this circumstances. You can ask them now hypothetically in the event the application is rejected. But you should not resubmit until you hear back from cic.bwxm said:congr to all who have received AOR/Med from CIO.
it is 72 days after my PNP applications received by CIO NS and i have not received AOR yet.
Has anybody experienced such a delay?
- In case of incompleted document when I am expected to receive the returned application from CIO?
- I have sent an email to CIO asking my application status update on May 9th. How long it will take for CIO to reply the email?
- My PNP expired in April 2013, do i need to request an extension of PNP and re-submit my full application to CIO, just in case that I cannot receive any reply from CIO in the following one week?
Your advise is highly appreciated. Thank you.
