We use a canadian lawyer for my PR.. They received my PPR, and delhi had asked for my Indian Mailing Address in that PPR. So I mentioned my indian mailing address when I sent my ppt.. I really hope that they ve sent the ppt to my indian address n not to the canadian one.. u knw,, ND can do anything.. seeing Missinghim's situation (even after so many requests, they still sent the ppt to her old address), am just scared that they ve sent my ppt also overseas :(((

@ sanyrog ,

Don worry, they won't send your PP to Canada.. a letter is fine but not a passport..
You will get it with a shiny Visa :-)
Its funny that they dont ask for a return address in the PPR, am i right?

Hello all,

I am in the middle of my immigration process in FSW-1 category and I am hopping that within 5-6 months I will be in the Canada.

According to CIC website:one can sponsor "brothers or sisters, nephews or nieces, granddaughters or grandsons who are orphaned, under 18 years of age and not married or in a common-law relationship."

Now, the question is : 18 year of age is, age at the time of application or it is the age at the time of visa issuance.

Cheers.

I think, some1 here got the status changed from Appln Received to Decision Made.. i forgot who it is..

fprince,

yeah I really knw hw hard it is.. thats why am telling u.. I rem hw much my husband struggled a loooooootttttttttttttt to console me.. I just used to vent out all my anger n frustration to him, as I cant scold ND :P even nw he is struggling, as am worried abt the ppt :P Dont worry, it l all happen soon.. I wish u all the very best.. If u want, I can talk to ur wife and console a bit :) I l be very glad to do it :)

And yeah usually they dont ask for the return address in the PPR, unless the mailing address is a canadian one. Since mine was a canadian address, they asked for the indian mailing address I guess..

Thank you very much for your reply.

Regarding posting, I thought, since I am sponsoring my brother on near future this is the appropriate place for the question.

anyway thanks for your reply.

Hi, once you land you will be able to sponsor. I think it should be below 18 at the TIME of your application as processing times can vary by visa office and in the case of New Delhi i believe it is a 3-5 year wait to sponsor a brother/grandpa etc...

Thanks so much for your support, but ND seems to have slowed down for the last 2 weeks..didn't hear a lot of updates...want this to end by march/april cos then they will have a million apps for study permits and will be so busy

@ sanyrog ,

This is a silly question, but does anywhere in ecas say that your file is being processed in delhi?
I did get the sponsorship approval letter saying my file was sent to ND..now am wondering if its even in Delhi..as ecas does not specify which office is processing it..
