Ppl who ve already got their visas - can u pls tell me hw a registration number would be? am trying to track my reg post, n post officers say they want the tracking #.. am trying to find out my tracking #

Our application reached CPC-M on 14th February. But we have not heard anything from them yet. No update on ECAS too Sad. Is the receipt number (IMM 5401) a 10 character number with a letter in front and 9 digits after that? Also the information to be entered there is sponsor's information? Just checking to confirm if we are not making any mistake. We are really worried.

Hi all.. How do you know that u are issued with a visa without getting the passport back ? Here I see people giving date saying visa issued even before the status on ecas is changed. .

here is one shocking news
My wife went to embassy to find out the status of her application. she was told it could 8-10 months to get the visa. ....... dont understand our situation..its been ..... 6 months ..no PPR yet.

I really need to know how long this process is going to take. On your website its clearly written processing times take 6 months after the file received by mississauga. My wife file was received by mississauga on 28th of sep ,Since then my wife has not received any feedback/ Please let us know how long you going to take to issue a visa so that we can take our important decisions. I hope you should understand how hard is this for newly married couple to live separate for a long period of time. Also you have clearly written on the website that you provide higher priority to spouse immigration cases

My wife also visited embassy and she was told it could take 8-10 months to get her immigration. Seriously We cannot wait for that long period of time , I have been living in canada more than 6 years and I have paid big amount of tax.

I hope you understand my situation and accelerate the processing of my wife immigration visa.

Getting uptight about this helps nobody.
Note: FYI The CIC web site only offers an estimated time, the words used are "approximate time". This time is clearly not a guarantee.

There are lots of couples who have been apart far longer than six months.
If the timeframe is too much for you then you are free to withdraw your application.
The amount of tax you pay is not a factor in how fast an immigration application is processed.

I guess that most people here understand that your process will not be accelerated, you also need to recognize that fact.

You have to wait as long as it takes, an outburst like this achieves nothing,...
Relax, suck it up and deal with it. (Or withdraw your application).

My file was received by Delhi on 28th Feb.2011 but I have not received PPR till now.

I guess almost everbody got PPR whose file was transfered to Delhi on or before 28th Feb.2011 except I.

I am upset.....what should I do other than waiting for PPR?

Anyone else who did not receive PPR till now?

Is PPR lost in post or Delhi did not issue it?????................I don't know........

it will take around 4 to 5 weeks to process ur application at CPC M.... u can check with ur receipt number probably next week to see if they have started processing ur file...

it is hard to judge things with chc new delhi...they do weird things.... sometimes they send the ppr right away or sometimes it takes them forever to send the ppr letter...

but...hold tight... u will hear from them soon

Apparently its a programming error. They are switching systems, creating problems. As far as her file still saying app received, so does mine. It was received Jan 17, 2011, they've asked for docs, ppt, fees and booked the interview. There is no rhyme or reason to how ND operates.

No idea if mine is lost, all i see is in status...patience my friend...

Until CPC Miss approves your sponsorship you will only see N/A.
Once they do you can use your receipt # to login and will most probly see decision made for sponsorship. All the best.

Yes Buddy, no PPR, no f754king file #..just In Process....
