My wife went to embassy to find out the status of her application. she was told it could 8-10 months to get the visa. ....... dont understand our situation..its been ..... 6 months ..no PPR yet.

I really need to know how long this process is going to take. On your website its clearly written processing times take 6 months after the file received by mississauga. My wife file was received by mississauga on 28th of sep ,Since then my wife has not received any feedback/ Please let us know how long you going to take to issue a visa so that we can take our important decisions. I hope you should understand how hard is this for newly married couple to live separate for a long period of time. Also you have clearly written on the website that you provide higher priority to spouse immigration cases
My wife also visited embassy and she was told it could take 8-10 months to get her immigration. Seriously We cannot wait for that long period of time , I have been living in canada more than 6 years and I have paid big amount of tax.
I hope you understand my situation and accelerate the processing of my wife immigration visa.
Getting uptight about this helps nobody.
Note: FYI The CIC web site only offers an estimated time, the words used are "approximate time". This time is clearly not a guarantee.
There are lots of couples who have been apart far longer than six months.
If the timeframe is too much for you then you are free to withdraw your application.
The amount of tax you pay is not a factor in how fast an immigration application is processed.
I guess that most people here understand that your process will not be accelerated, you also need to recognize that fact.
You have to wait as long as it takes, an outburst like this achieves nothing,...
Relax, suck it up and deal with it. (Or withdraw your application).
