NEW DELHI - 2015 Applicants

I applied for my wifes PR on jan 14 . They sent me an email with uci and file number (i think its called an AOR) On march 20th. I have NOT received any email saying that the application for sponsorship has been approved and file has been sent to New Delhi. I am really confused and worried. Can someone plz tell me if its the normal process and if yes then how long does it usually take after the application of receipt email to get the approval of sponsorship email. Plzzzzz help.

I applied for spousle application July 2014 and applications received 25 July 2014 and I received letter from new delhi immigration in 25 jan 2015 it is more then 8 months still when I check my status it show application received I don't know what is going on
