Hello Guys, please solve my one concern:

I sent my passport through DHL on 20th may to embassy and it got delivered on 21st may 2011( got confirmation sms and checked online status tracking)

The physical address of CHC is

Canadian High Commission
Immigration Section
7/8 Shantipath
Chanakyapuri
New Delhi

I sent the passport on the following mailing address of CHC:

Canadian High Commission
Immigration Section
P.O. Box 5209
New Delhi
110021, India

However, on the receipt of DHL it is showing the address i.e. physical office address.
I am concerned whether delivery of passport to physical office is okay or it should have been delivered to mailing address only.
I just want to make sure that the passport is delivered to CHC. How can I make sure? Please help!!

Have you tried calling an agent? the prices are usually the same as the web.. but try your luck, you may be surprised

I just now checked and it seems 1 TWO way + 1 one way is more expensive than 1 one way to go + 2 return.

I am just playing with probable dates when I can go to India and come back with her. Can't plan anything when your fate is in New Delhi's hand.

Ouch... Aug end is really killer.. because thats still consider HIGH SEASON... many families return from vacations.. and what not.. so the prices are very hot until like Sep 12 or so.... and you know Airlines gotta make that buck! they will bump up the prices.. but very happy that your wife will be with you for the duration I hope things work out.. and what prices are you getting for other airlines?

if its just by 200-400$ (my preference) I'd not mind paying that extra if I can find a seat beside my wife rather than some STRANGER

Remember July is when the HIGH SEASON starts and it really starts to die from labour day... on until by Sep 12-18.

Only if she has not booked the tickets then you'd have been way better off buying ONE way for her as well.. then just 2 one way for return together.

I was cheking this option the other day and actually 1 TWO way + 1 one way was more expensive.. than 1 one way for me to go + 2 return

You really have to play with the options until you are satisfied...

Hi Guys,

Just to inform, we got our landing fee update.

They have processed it after one and half month ( send on 14th April)

Still waiting for the interview ....... and worried about the monsoon in mumbai and delhi - traffic problems, floods and flights delays is expected!!!!!

I know exactly what you mean...... here let me give you a summary of my typical day... starting from morning...

She calls me to wake me up at around
5:30am (for prayers)... after I go back to sleep keeping the phone on.. she then uses the other phone to wake me up at around
6:45am (for work).. I shower.. the phone is on... she hears me take the shower.. brush my teeth.. (etc.. you got the idea..)... then around 7:15am or so... She reminds me to take my lunch... and I head to the car.. phone disconnects as I gotta go 2 level down the garage... then at around.. I call her back once back on the road.. we talk while I'm driving to work..
8:15am I get to work.. and we disconnect the phone.. but many times I'd just keep the phone on.. and not talk we'll just hear each other, then the phone disconnects after totalk 90 Minutes (automatically)
9:30am around this time I send her a txt msg and tell her its time for breakfast.. and she will reply back.. and I will have breakfast.. she will eat (dinner at the same time) and its usual business until
11:00am this time she miss-call me and we have a conversation for about 30 minits.. and I get back to work, the phone is on for 90 minz..
12:45-1PM - she calls me again to say she is sleepy.. and we talk for few mints until she falls aslep...
1:50PM - I go out to pray from work place.. I ask her if she is sleeping or not.. if she is... then i disconnect the phone and call again ... here we talk for 10-15 mints.
2:30pm I'm back at work.. the phone is still on.. and I hang up because she is sleeping.. I do what I have to at work...
4:30pm I leave work.. I warm up my food.. take it to the car.. drive away.. and park somwere nice.. I call her.. she wakes up.. and we eat.. and talk.. sometimes we both sleep.. (I take a nap)
6:45pm wake up for prayers.. I keep her sleeping / sometimes she is up
7:30pm we talk......... / I do my things / maybe another nap..
8:40pm time for another prayer.. so I take her with me and the phone is on..
9:30pm we talk......... / I wake her up... if she fell asleep.. / maybe nap
10:30pm time for the final prayers.. this time I tell her to nap until I call bak
11:15pm I call bak.. we talk talk talk.. I drive HOME while talking...
12:15am we talk.. and have dinner....
01:00am we talk.. I check the forums.. sit on the pc for bit.. and I start to fall asleep..
01:30am I maybe sleeping now....or we maybe talking... depends on how tired I'm

5:30AM ---- Then the cycle repeats it self..
PLEASE NOTE: (actual timings may differ from day to day)

I hope you all enjoy know about my typical day.. (this is a WEEKDAY), I'd love to know how everyone spends their time while away from their spouses.. like how do you keep together...

The day can be very different on Weekends / Holidays..

about how you spend your day with your wife on the phone and my wife told me how

My wife received a phone call from CHC New Delhi asking her to submit the passport. She was asked why we haven't submitted the passport yet. They had sent us a letter sometime in May (after they started processing our case) which is yet to reach my wife.

When my wife inquired about the CSE we sent, they informed her that they haven't read it yet.

Finally!

DNT2003, You hold on buddy. Hopefully you will get the PPR soon.

i got the passport request within 19 days when my file reached Delhi. It was sent through ordinary post and my address Was mentioned incorrect but just because of my name and postal code it reached my place. Thanks god

Thanks cdngrl... I hope so too, and btw I know few people are aware of my application with OCI.. so I do have a good news on that part.. they've received my documents at Toronto. so now I have to submit my passport to get it stamped with the sticker and then that's it I can visit India anytime.. and no more waiting for that 2 months in between each trip

Thank you India for the OCI! I say its worth it if you are gonna make atleast 3 trips to India in your life time!

DNT 2003- It's not even the price of the tickets that stop most of us.. its the part of getting the vacation and then making sure it was worth the time off plus the ticket price. I'm sure things are going to work for you to bring your wife.

Oh then you are out of luck.. but one question NOT sure, usually we can NOT, possible for her to cancel her return ticket and maybe able to get a lil refund? nothing to loose if you try it. I know many tickets we buy (specially economy) there is no REFUND policy, but suggest it to them the reason, and see if they can either cancel it for you, or you ask them if they can hold one seat for you, sound convincing that you like their fleet, and you like to fly with them, but this opinion can change if you do not treat me right rite now.

It might work, many airlines likes the returning customers...

I hv heard you guyz were talking about cheap tickets through US... which airlines??? I think I can travel through there as well i hv got 10 yr multiple for US
