I'm on my phone but I'll try to answer your questions as best as I can (I will just clarify when I get home later on my computer)

1. Not sure about MMR vaccine, it was not required for me. The doctor who did your medical should tell you everything you need. I'm not sure if they check your blood titers for vaccines on the test since I never saw my results

2. I'll have to look this up again but I don't think you need to since the 'dependents' they are referring to are children/spouses that need to be sponsored and since your daughter is already a Canadian citizen, it doesn't apply to her. Again I'm not sure about this, best to call the CIC call centre to ask them.

3. I suggest writing N/A on all the questions that are not applicable to you so CIC will know for sure that you read all the questions and you didnt just forget/overlook some items. I just wrote it with a pen after I printed it.

4. I didn't write a cover letter but we each wrote a personal statement as part of the 'proof of ongoing relationship'. There were some who didn't write anything and they were still approved. In my case, it made me feel at ease having the personal statement, it provided a more personal touch to your application and gives you a chance to explain anything that you think the application questions didnt cover. Doesn't have to be novel length, ours was just one page.

5. As far as I know, you only need 2 checklists - the one for the sponsor documents and the one for the principal applicant. Both of them have to be checked for all the requirements or written N/A if it doesn't apply to you. Don't send a blank one!

Good luck on your application! I have a feeling applicants these year will go through faster than last year's with all the changes CIC is doing :)
Thank you so much! Your answers make a lot of sense, especially re: #5 haha it's so hard not to overthink when your future depends on something. I'll phone the call centre to confirm if I need to submit my daughter's birth certificate. And I hope you're right about the changes that the CIC is doing. Thanks again!

Hi Aldrinisko

You can't choose which visa office to process your application, it's up to CIC to decide where to send it after processing it in Missisauga, but I think the trend is they send it to the country where you're originally from.
Thanks xabibella

So you mean sa country of origin ko? Which is PH?
How many times they call for appearance in their office? (Normal process;Approx)

You're welcome! and naku I totally understand what you mean, the day after I sent our application I had a mini-panic attack because on the checklist, it said to put an 'x' on the boxes and I forgot if I put an 'x' or a checkmark hahahaha after ilang minutes narealize ko parang naloloka na ata ako :p Ano bang pakialam nun visa officer kung x or check, basta filled up un check list haha

Yup! You'll only be required to appear in person if you get called for an interview (very rare, only for complicated cases). Although towards the end of the application, you will be asked to send in your passport, so you can choose to send it via mail, go in person to hand it to them personally or do what I did- send it to an authorized representative (a relative) so they can bring it to the office in person. I'm also from the Philippines but I'm not residing there (I'm in the US). My application took about 10 months from submission to getting my CoPR. I was not asked for interview and all correspondence to/from CIC were through email.

Hi,

Anak namin canadian citizen na rin dahil dun sya pinanganak. There is a specific instruction about that if the dependent child is a citizen. Sa akin, sinama ko ang copy ng passport at birth certificate ng anak namin.

Try to read again some instruction in the guide of application depending on what country.

Hello. :)

Anybody who knows how to get LTO Certificate from LTO? :) LTO Certificate of Good Driving (if such a thing exists) so we can apply for a driver's license in Canada :)

That was very clear and informative!

Sooner or later we'll start the process, were just gathering some necessary documents.
Does it matter ba kung may dependent yung sponsor ko? Meron syang isang anak, she went there 8monts pregnant, she was not married to that baby's father. Citizen n ung bata don as per canadian law. And as of now shes working 5days a week 5hrs per day sa Tim Hortons, but later on maghealtcare na sya kapapasa lng nya sa HCA exams. Magmatter b ang financial status nya saka ung sakin kasi di ganong kataas sahod ko dito sa Dubai.

Cheers

Are you still in Manila? I already got mine last month. Punta ka lang LTO Main office sa QC with a copy of your ID and copy ng official receipt ng license mo. Fill-up ka form then pay 100 pesos. May ibigay sayo na Claim Stub then you will gave to go to DFA Macapagal after a week and pick up your Authenticated LTO Certificate. Bayad ka ulit ng 100 pagpunta mo sa DFA.
