hi,,,

do the indian applicant need to attested the voter id copy and 10th matriculation certificate from notary ??

I believe you need to get documents notarized when they have been translated from some other language to English. If your original is in English, then you dont need to get it notarized

I'd say pay it again right away, email them a copy of the receipt with an explanation, and also mail the receipt with your info included clearly with another explanation. You don't NEED the UCI to send documents, they can figure it out. Make sure you get tracking on it though so you have proof.

I know it sucks, when CIC messes up, we have to suffer the consequences.

Hi
I have same problem. They refunded me full amount please advice me what you did. Please let me know. Thank you so much for your help. Do let me know what you did with your application

Hi Seniors
I applied for my wife`s PR and i over paid the application fee by $550 that means a total of $1590 but i was supposed to pay $1040. I REQUESTED A PARTIAL REFUND and i saw on 18/march 2017 i got full refund. That was clearly CIC mistake. I have full email records of the officer apologizing for the confusion. The problem is i know i might get my application back, but is there a way to prevent this from happening. Mailing them a new receipt will make a difference ? or sending a new receipt through web form?? any suggestions will be highly appreciated. I read some previous posts it has happened to people, i asked them what they did no response yet. Please do let me know what can be done. Its freaking frustrating. Its not even my fault. My fault is asked for a partial refund but those wonderful people gave me a full refund. I am not sure what to do at this point of time. If I am getting back my application is t possible to know when will i be getting back so that I can apply a new one. My application was received by them on 21st feb 2017. Any suggestions or advices please.
Thanks is advance

Hi, can anyone confirm where CIC sends back original documents, letters, pictures, etc once the process is done? Is it to the applicant or the sponsor in Canada?

If i move and change my address, how do i go about letting CIC know? I'm the sponsor, had just submitted the application this month

Hi guys, I'm the PA, and I'm visiting my wife (sponsor) next month, I have a visitor visa, and my application is in process and everything is going well.
My question is that is there any problem in visiting my wife (sponsor) in Canada during the processing of my application?
I will be visiting her for 2 weeks, and I'm returning back to my country since I have work.
Thank you

Hey Leon,

Thats great info thx!

Leon I do have another question: what if a CAD citizen wanted to sponsor their common law spouse, however that spouse been here for over 4-5 years with no status (she basically came here as a worker and when that was done she applied for ETA but never got an answer so she just stayed).

so basically my question is can the spouse sponsor their spouse even if they are here with no status ??

Thank you so much in advance !!

Hi All,

Wasn't sure if this was the right forum to bring this question up.

I'm a PR and put in the application to sponsor my wife and daughter in May 2016. I also put in the application for my wife's work permit. In November 2016 she received her open work permit. I assume this would allow her to live in Canada without having to leave every 6 months. The question I have is about my daughter. As the work permit would allow my wife to live and work here, do I need some document to allow my 2 year old daughter to live here without having to leave Canada every 6 months? Or would my wife's work permit allow my daughter to stay here too while the PR application does its course? I would rather stay on the right side of the law instead of illegal overstaying.

Thank you for the advise!
