The processing time for the assessment of sponsor has just jumped to 32 days (instead of 29 previously) for the "Spouse or common-law partner living outside Canada" (Mississauga).

This concern the SA result? probably the reason why we don't have it yet... It'll come...:)

Hi

You shouldn't go for more than a few weeks.

Hello!

I am planning to apply for express entry on my own because my partner is not bringing any additional points to my application, and a single application gets more points. I am considering sponsoring him later on if I get selected.

Has anyone ever done that? Is there some restriction, like time period after getting my PR before I can sponsor?

I am also worried about immigration asking why he was not part of my initial express entry application. Anyone has any experience or thoughts about this?

Thanks a lot.

Are you married? Have you lived together for 12 months or more? If yes, then you have no choice but to include your partner in the application. If you are not married or common-law, then you cannot include them in your application. You will be able to sponsor them later, provided you fall into one of the categories at the time.

For Spouse Sponsorship IELTS is not required. right?

why do I see so many people getting IELTS request?

Because it's obviously required for other immigration streams.

but I have seen spouse applications get ielts request too
Where have you seen Family Class applicants get requests for IELTS?

Was checking NDVO Spouse Sponsorship.. and a couple of applicant's status showed IELTS Request date:

I just looked through one of the threads and did not see any applicants with an IELTS request. I imagine those who have IELTS requests listed are those who applied through a different stream and are now sponsoring their spouses.
