#6 d) Is "Yes"

e) Has he ever had a letter instructing him to leave Canada, or a refusal at a border crossing? If so, put "yes". I take this question to be directed more towards visa-exempt people who actually make it to the border crossing. If he has not, then you can put "no".

Just explain whatever you put in the box on the bottom.
Thanks , I did called CIC to confirm this , but they said consult an immigration lawyer.

I had the same issue.. as I downloaded the form in April 2016(April 2nd 2016). I was checking the website every day just to make sure nothing is changed and on April 9th 2016 I noticed IMM 1344 is changed. So just to make things clear, I called CIC and the agent told me that it is best to send the updated form as they might ask you to provide an updated form. She also told me that usually they check the date when the application was sent and if a form was uploaded before that date, then there is a possibility that they will ask for updated form. Fortunately, I got the updated form within 4 days from my husband.

So my suggestion is to send the updated form to avoid the delays.

Thanks

Hi,

I recently got PR And now want to start the process of sponsorship for my fiancée. i will be getting married to her in June.

1) Shall I apply for her tourist visa now only so that she can travel asap after marriage.

2) Once I apply for her sponsorship , can i apply for her Open work permit based on that.

3)While applying for her tourist visa now, is there need to mention that she ll be getting married PR?

Please let me know the best possible way to get her to travel with me.

Thanks

1) Yes - she can try applying for a TRV now.
2) She will only qualify for an open work permit if you apply for her inland (not outland). To apply inland, she must be in Canada.
3) No - I would not mention that she is getting married.

CIC call center told you to consult a lawyer over two simple questions?

Well I suppose it's better than just giving you wrong information.... but I'd expect just a little bit of common-sense on their part.

It doesn't really matter what you put as you can explain yourself in the box.

Were on the conjugal partner category and as per my GCMS note. "relationship as per info on file: met"

our application is now in Manila office. showing "review required" status in Eligibility check.

Is there anyone knows or have idea on what's this "review required" status meant.
what are the things being check during eligibility check or what is being done during this check.

A person that has been issued a Deportation Order, meaning that they were officially deported, is permanently banned from returning without written permission from CBSA.

If you were truly deported, you definitely have a problem.

After 4 years and 6 months of waiting, i finally got a call from my lawyer saying that my file was finalized and that I need to pay the $490 residence fee. Sooooooooo relieved!!

Hi,

I am a PR of Canada since 8 months now and will be getting married to my fiancee in August.

1. Is visitor visa (TRV) a quick way to bring spouse here to Canada.
2. For how long this visa will be valid?

Thank you.

Over 1400 pages and counting... WOW.

Anyhow my girlfriend visited me in Canada 2 times this year. She will come again in June. The question I have.. is it easier for us to get married in Canada and she can apply for PR here? Or is easier for her to go back to her country ( Colombia) and apply there? Also if she applies in Canada, is her visitor visa still good for use?

BTW I have been a Canadian citizen for 20+ years.

TIA

woah, lucky u had ur partner visit YOU. I had to leave work & fly over so far to see my husband just cause HE doesnt have visa to come here...as of ur question, inland apps kinda take longer comparatively than outland apps.

Thanks for the reply. So is there a possibility of bringing her here as a fiancee? Can she apply in her country but still live with me in Canada?
