I would be concerned that you may already be out of status. Did you complete your studies or did you simply drop out of school? The 150 days only applies in some circumstances.
I just dropped out and I didn’t finish my course, I feel there’s no particular date to count the 150 days. Even if I apply for OWP along with PR application, they are asking for my study permit proof which says it expires in 2026 so, they may not process it. I’m thinking to wait for AOR and apply for OWP without any visitor extension.
Will it work???

The fact your study permit expires in 2026 is somewhat irrelevant. This does not mean you have status in Canada until then.

Did you complete your semester that ended in the spring or did you drop out before completing the semester? Schools are required to report students to IRCC if they have dropped out and IRCC will under certain circumstances then cancel the study permit. This is why there's some risk you are already in Canada without status. You should have applied to change your status to visitor as soon as you dropped out of school.

Also, if you were working at all, I assume you stopped working as soon as you stopped attending school.

So then you should be OK. I would personally apply to change your status to visitor now while you wait for the spousal sponsorship application.

Hello Everyone,

I am seeking some clarity and advice regarding spousal sponsorship under special circumstances. I have a pending charge of criminal harassment, with the trial scheduled for March 2025. Despite this, I am getting married next week in Pakistan.

Given our situation, I am uncertain whether to start the spousal sponsorship application process now or wait until after the trial. My fiancée and I have been engaged for over two years, and the lengthy sponsorship process will undoubtedly impact our family at various levels.

I would greatly appreciate any opinions or suggestions on navigating this particular scenario.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards.

My spouse's outland application is in progress, bcg and eligibility in progress. received an email with subject "IRCC PR Confirmation Portal" asking for details like height or if she is in Canada.
Is it an indicator of COPR soon ? Dec 2023 Outland Application, she is in Canada on Visitor visa.

Yes, this is basically the equivalent of passport request, and the start of the virtual landing process. It should mean approved in all meaningful senses.

My application for PR had been returned due to we clicked inland sponsorship instead of Outland. Do I need to notify the IRCC that we submitted new application for outland??

Do you mean you submitted another application before the first was returned (i.e. two at the same time)?

My to-be-husband is Pakistani and I am Canadian Resident. It is an arranged set up but we talk daily. .my question is I plan to visit Pakistan 15 days prior to my weddingg that is in April 2025. I am not going to visit before that. So basically no engagement nothing. We thought to do do a virtual engagement or family get together with me on video call something like that but dropped the idea and thought to just get married and gather pictures when I visit Pakistan. Would that make my application look weak? Should we do this virtual thing?

That would actually make your application strong because you will have a proof of wedding and possibly marriage certificate/license. If you check the Spousal sponsorship checklist, you will find a set of 4 type of documents that are required and photos/license is one of them.
