I am sponsoring my partner of the past 12 years and we have both been called in for an interview in the next few weeks.
Anyone can give us some advice as to what they will / might be asking?
AI was under the impression that our application was very, very well completed.

With no background info on your situation, it's impossible to give any advice.

No that is for outland app. The poster did an inland app which is completely different times. Better to check in the inland thread to see when you should get AOR, but as far as I know you have to wait several months.

I had to wait 9 month to get my first stage approed. just got the approvel in january but after that it only took 10 days to get my second stage approval.

hello friends,
Singapore has dispatched my wife's passport back to her VFS Office on Feb 7, 2014... waiting for the pick up call. :D

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone knew what is the normal waiting time(Vienna Visa Office) after the completed interview, 2nd medical, and updated Schedule A form had been sent?

We had the interview on Nov 19th 2013, request for 2nd medical on Nov 25th 2013, completed 2nd medical on Nov 26th 2013, and sent the doc on Nov 28th 2013- AND WE ARE STILL WAITING. (not to mention that we applied 2 YEARS AGO, Feb 22nd.).

Is it normal to wait this long after the 2nd medical?
Any similar experiences? Help? Please?

What does your ecas say? Have you applied for your file notes? Perhaps it's time to get your MP involved. It seems like an awfully long time to wait. Email your MP and tell them the situation perhaps they can find out what's going on

Firstly, it's totally fine to use taglish because not everyone here speaks the language. Your post, your call on what language to use ;) if you're looking for a guide on the process of sponsoring your spouse, it is always best to refer to this website www.cic.gc.ca. All info you need are there. That's the website i used to arrange all our documents, application forms etc. etc. you may send a pm if something is unclear and lets's see how i can help you out ;)

Sure. It's just harder to get an answer and limiting. CIC site is fine but doesn't explain much. I wasn't trying to be offensive and the advice was genuine the first post on the first page is with looking at. It's a great step by step guide with lots of pertinent information. I wasn't suggesting reading through all the posts if that's what you thought. It's a great supplement to the very limited guidance you get from CIC, and it can be reassuring

If you didn't do an interview, and CIC didn't email you saying there were concerns with your application... then "DM" is practically always a positive decision!

pray for me plz.. after "decision Made" it says, "The office will contact you concerning this decision."... what that suppose to mean the office will contact me? what decision they made? they have dispatched back my wife's passport from Singapore visa office to Dhaka VFS office. do I need to be concerned at this stage? why so suspense?

It's a standard quote. Don't worry too much, since you did not have an interview, and the VO never raised any issues to you prior to DM, it is a positive DM.

Saied

My opinion is same. Do not depend on Ecas and it is misleading. Most indications are that you will be returned with your pp with visa sealed on it .

Thanks Shaw and MofC... I hope so too. why can't they declare it clearly? why they keep everything in suspense all the time? messed up!!!

I have a question about the initial steps to applying for sponsorship. I recently sent my sponsorship application package to Mississagua. It says it takes 34 days for an answer. Will they send me an email for mail me their answer? On the CIC website section on "after you apply" says:

You, the Sponsor, will be notified in writing of the decision and of the visa office to which your relative’s application has been sent.

However on immigration form 1344, page 2 says:

-All correspondence will go to this address unless you indicate your e-mail address below.
-Indicating an e-mail address will authorize all correspondence, including file and personal information, to be sent to the e-mail address you specify.

CIC considers e-mail to be a form of "writing" so the two paragraphs are consistent.

From what I've seen, they send PDF letters attached to e-mails. It saves them on postage and paper but basically uses the exact same process to generate the paperwork - in one case it is printed and mailed and the other it is attached and e-mailed.
