If the sponsor is citizen thn he/she can live any where in the world with spouse and apply sponsorship, CIC allowed this..
My wife still live with me in uae since beginning and our decision has been made within 6 months.. This is all about how you present your case.

Masha Allah lucky you. But for husband (sponsors), this is not easy to relocate to any where else. We have to provide to our families (parents / siblings).

No matter how you present your case, if they think you are not sitting comfortably in your wedding or post wedding pics, they will keep you waiting for interviews and what not.

I about CIC really don't know about this but we made very clear and explainable case i guess which was quite easy to judge for CIC.

What if one has an established business/job? Should he/she leave everything due to bad policies?

There is not only one visa officer. You were lucky enough to find a nice officer. If an officer is lazy and he delays his work with out any reason, no one can force him to finish. He can give hundreds of reasons for not closing a file and may carry on working on that file for years (look busy do nothing).

Anyways, we are very happy for you and moreover, your case gives a lot of hope to new applicants/couples.

Due to at least two people that received their PPR a few days after emailing LVO, I also emailed them on Thursday (Nov 12) since it's now about 5 weeks since our DM, but I've received no reply. Is there some sort of curse put on certain files?!! My entire family is so disheartened at this point about why everything seems to be delayed for us. I'm trying to convince them that it's within the 45 day time limit but our mind keeps jumping to worst case scenarios. Ya Allah, hum sab ki mushkilay assan kar, Ameen.

Two people were successful and today I also got PPR in reply of an email I sent to LVO on Friday ...

Just a note, my friend who get DM on 31 Oct 2015, got his PPR on 12 NOV. However he did not send any email.

Good News! gott an email from CPC Mississauga that they have added my child as a dependent in my wife's case. (same as AOR). Which is scary I hope they don't take long now. The text:

As requested, your file has been updated to include the additional dependent and all eligibility
requirements for sponsorship have been met. Accordingly, the visa office processing the
Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) has been advised of this change.​

I hope from their last email in August , it was pretty clear that my wife is ready for a DM but it was delayed due to the pregnancy, I hope they now issue PPR to both INSHA ALLAH soon. Please pray for us.

just want to know one of my friend send his passport through vfs global Karachi to Islamabad Canadian embassy 3rd Nov
till now he received nothing want to know how long they take to send him back passport with Visa

Get an Urdu Nikahnama, get it translated in English and notarized. They usually ask that you send an Urdu NN and to avoid that, get an Urdu one.

Send the invitation card as proof. This is not an official document though, so its optional.

I never had urdu nikah nama i had the english one with registration stamp on it. I wrote an explanation that i only have english nikah nama and there is no urdu nikah nama because the forms are from Canada

if he is your representative then he should contact LVO. Anyways did you write URGENT in the email as i told you. It is very important to write URGENT

guys my frnd did her re medical in begining of aug n ecas still has not been update with medical have been recevied for the applicant, its still showing in process n its been 3 months since they did re medical..is that normal? she has sent an email already to LVO but no reply even a case specific inquiry n no reply to that either.

I had simillar situation, They don't always show on ECAS about receipt of Re-mediacal atleast thats what their reply said, they did confirm that they have received medical. I wrote email a few days ago and reply came within 3-4 days. I put URGENT in the subject line along with File number and UCI numbers.
