We received application for permanent residence on March 19, 2013.

We started processing application on October 6, 2014.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on application on 11th Nov 2014. The office will contact concerning this decision.


not received PPR1 yet , is this normal ? or any suggestion and idea ?

When was your re/med done?
Yes that is normal, if the med is clear then you get now PPR1/2 in Jan/15

I'm from Pakistan. No Passport request has been made yet.

using this link the slowest time is 285 days and he/she is not Pakistani while there are many people who are from Pakistan did not get any update. God knows that 11 month time line also apply on us but by visiting above link.

all that information should be with the application forms. Or on CIC website. But you send your side of documents first for initial assessment to Mississauga with all the forms & important supporting document.missisuaga office sends the whole package to LVO itself.

If you have been advised that your application has been transfered to the Canadian High Commission in London for processing: Send an updated application form with your new child/spouse/partner included. You will also need to submit a copy of their birth certificate, four passport-sized photos, the processing fee and a copy of their passport, if available. If your application is still in process at the Centralized Intake Unit in Sydney, Nova Scotia, please contact that office to advise them about your new child/spouse/partner.

To me it seems that as i am not a permanent resident as of now, I cannot sent application directly to Mississauga. Would Appreciate valuable input. Thanks

I received an email from CIC that submit IM0008 and Schedule A for my family and kids to London visa office.

• How should I send them, I mean should I send them through TCS or FedEx or is there any other defined way?
  
  Should I send original birth, marriage and educational certificates?

I've mentioned in my post that I applied in Dec 2012 and they started processing my application when I've sent my remedical on 30 Sep 2014 after that my status on Ecas was IN Process and then they asked me to send Police Character certificate alongwith two updated forms, which I've sent them at London Office and in the first week of Dec 2014 my status was changed to Decision made quoting: a decision has been made on your application. Office will contact you concerning this decision.
Till then my status is same and I've recieved no email or any update regarding passport request or anything else.

Use Fedex for secure and fast delivery. You can use DHL as well. I have no experience with TCS while sending docs out of Pakistan, TCS is good within Pakistan.
If you are asked o send the original docs they yes DO send Original.

Does anyone here know that Is it necessary to change my wife's surname as my first name on her CNIC and Passport before applying for canadian sponsorship? Would it result in rejection if I don't get the surname changed?

-Principal applicant ($475)
-Right of Permanent Residence ($490)

For a total of $1040.

yaar the minute you look up on CIC website, you get all this information right there. Its all there, there are details to it too which you will know once you visit it instead of asking random ppl. for example landing fee you don't have to pay right away you can pay that later when visa issued or perhaps when landed there. but again visit cic site and get all the info.

the only things that are necessary are the ones that they have mentioned on forms that you fill out, rest is called "supporting documents" which is just to prove the legitimacy/depth of your relationship as all you are doing is providing as much info as possible to convince them that your relationship is genuine. in doing so, in some cases it might be a good idea to change name which might help, in other cases it might not even be an important thing at all. there are cases where relationship seems genuine far and beyond any reasonable doubts so perhaps wife can keep her last name even for rest of her life, in other cases it might be a good idea to just show you guys take your relationship seriously, but back to your point whether its "necessary" or not to change name, well no its not necessary at all, the "only" stuff thats necessary is whatever is asked by CIC". rest is all supporting documents.

I went to the CIC site before posting this question because somehow my mum has been confusing me about the process with what "her friends" tell her and which is accurate information to her conpared to what I have been searching for lol. . Anyway thanks a lot for your response it's just a hectic process applying and all!
