Hi Everyone,
Regarding IMM5669, Question 1:
1. My parents don't remember the date of birth and deaths of their parents as they were orphaned at a very young age. How do I go about filling the application?
Would asterisks on the dates be acceptable?
Thanks

I have received signed forms by my parents today and already mailed the application package to the CIC. I could easily sign for them but didn't do it as it wouldn't be fair.

If a sponsor meets the minimum income requirements and the other sponsor has way higher income in the last five years and CIC receives the both application packages on the same day, which application would CIC choose? Any idea / guess?

I don't think that the form will accept anything apart from numbers. Leave them empty and supply extra information on a separate sheet of paper with the details and append it to the form.

The first to be picked up probably. You are assuming that these are application numbers 5000 and 5001?

Hi Guys,

We are family of 4 right now and wants to sponsor my parents so total 6 people.

I need help . My case is like this.

I came to Canada in March 2011 and working from day one here. On this timeline, I would not have 3 years CRA's NOA.

I have NOA for year 2011 (15th March to December) and full year of 2012.

A) What should I do?

Since I worked only 9 months in 2011 (15th March to December) I am few thousands short of minimum income requirement but I would have passed this had I worked full year.

B) What should I do ? What are my chances?

Thanks & Regards,
Malu

You need NOA for 2010, 2011, 2012 to begin with so in other words, you can't apply now - try in Jan 2015 ( but since you mentioned that you are short, so could be Jan, 2016 ) unless you combine with wife or re-do 2011 with income you didn't report or something

@Zardoz,

It is nice that u have adopted a righteous path. Really appreciate, no matter what many others might have been doing in their pursuit to win the race before the CAP is reached.

As regard ur question, I think FIFO( as they are entered in their system with date nd time) shall be applied by CPC so as to help them prepare the list of applications received for their scrutiny nd thereby determine the CAP.

Thanks for the inputs u all have been posting in the forum.

Good luck. God bless all !!!

Hi all,

It's my first post.

I just sent our application yesterday. Hopefully it would be in tom. As I was going through the guide, I realized that we made a mistake in question 4 of IMM0008 immigration office. We put there Mississauga, ON thinking it was the processing office ( as you can see we didnt read the guide thoroughly) and not my parent's home country. Does anybody have an idea what would this might mean? Will our application be returned? Should I already submit corrections for this? If yes, anybody knows how?

I was so stressed filling up the forms the past few days and glad to have found this forum.

@gabrielle,

Yes, allocation of Visa Office, where the application (of PA) shall be eventually processed ,is made by CPC after sponsor crosses over the first stage/hurdle,i.e. DETERMINATION IS MADE wrt his/her (sponsor's) eligibility.
Therefore, it may not be considered a gross mistake,I reckon.

Please relax nd pray .

Good luck. God bless all!!

I too sent in my 2010, 2011 and 2012 Option C's with a covering letter explaining that I was not eligible based on 2010 income, but clearly was based on 2013 income. Let's see what happens. :)

Good luck pal, but I've lost hope now after reading the following FAQ from their official site:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=825&t=14

How can I show proof of income for 2013 in my application to sponsor a parent or grandparent?
The sponsor's total income will be calculated on the basis of notices of assessment issued by the Canada Revenue Agency for each of the three consecutive taxation years before the application was submitted.

A sponsor applying on January 2, 2014 will be required to provide proof of income for 2010, 2011 and 2012, given that the notice of assessment for 2013 would not be available at the time of the application.

So looks like our applications will be coming back as ineligible and we need to prepare for 2015 now and hope that they won't introduce any more ridiculous rules by then, like 5 years NOA or raise the LICO by 150% or stop PGP altogether....Grrrr.....

They clearly mention in the form payment section that the credit card that we are paying with must be valid for 9 months atleast, meaning that they estimate that it will be atleast a minimum of 9 months before all the applications initial screening is completed, during which payment is taken. So I'm guessing we should receive a response back in 9 months for sure.

Hi Everyone!
My wife and I would like to sponsor her both parents, right now our Family size is 5 (me, my wife, baby + parents) and this is our case:
I came here in Edmonton June 2010, then got work July 2010. CIC wants 3 preceding tax years on their latest form, that is 2010, 2011 & 2012. I will be her co-signee to meet the MNI, but since I have only half of 2010 taxed we only got less of the LICO (around $47K that time we're just 2). Our Tax years for 2011 to 2013 meet and exceeds the LICO for the Family size of 5, but we still don't have the NOA for 2013 to submit it this January 2014 (to make with 5000 cap). We have asked our employers for ROA stating what we've earned for 2013 period.
I know technically we are qualified but since we don't have the NOA for 2013 makes me confused to proceed on submitting our application because of the 2010 issue. Should I proceed? or wait for 2013 NOA and submit it by 2015?
Please advise me. Thanks & regards to all.

You need to wait until you have the NOA for 2013

Even if he was to get 2013 NOA, he can't use it for 2014 PGP. He would have to apply in 2015 PGP to use 2013 NOA.
