Congratulations, Amira.

I am so happy for you too.
The lady who interviewed my husband she was really nice. His interview was in English. It is important that your husband/ wife knows everything about you.

Good luck to everyone!!!!! Trust in God!!!!

At the same time, that can be used against you too, because your sponsor can give answers that contradict your own.

Hi ranya, I too am new to this site so I don't know as much as some of the more experienced people here but I believe the process is that the email you received is just a notice that your file is now at your local visa office for review. Unfortunately, it could be as long as 8 months before they contact you with an appointment for an interview. The good news is my husband has a friend who works at the embassy and he says some visa interviews are done in as little as 4 months. And, usually once you go for your interview the decision to approve your application is made at the end of the interview. I know it's a long wait, but we are all hear waiting with you. Don't be discouraged it will happen at just the right time!!

Well I finally am ready to compile my application now that I have the fee saved up. I was just wondering if anyone had any advice on a couple of things. I know we have some red flags since I am 13 years older than my husband and also because we only knew each other for 4 months before we were married. And, since my one and only trip to Morocco so far was to meet in person and then decide on marriage it was somewhat last minute. We only had a very small wedding ceremony because it wasn't for sure that we would have all the paperwork done in time before I had to leave. So I am looking for the best ways to explain these red flags.

First, is it helpful at all to write a story about our relationship, how we met and fell in love, that we have talked about our differences (age, culture, religion) and why we had such a small ceremony?

Is it a good idea to get letters from our friends and family members describing how they see our relationship?

Beside copies of photos, airline tickets, screen shots of all our electronic communications (email, chat, text etc) are there any other ideas for proof of genuine relationship?

Also I have read a few people have had issues with paying online using credit card, just wondered if anyone here has had any issues?

Thanks again for all your help!

Knowing how Rabat thinks and perceives things, I strongly recommend you hire an immigration consultant or lawyer as you have a few red flags that could seriously jeopardize your application. Sending you my best wishes!

wa alikom salam ranya. merhaba, this forum is good place to know process. My advice is If they ask you for your marriage certificate again, you should send. But you don't have to translate to english, its ok if you translate to French, maybe your husband sent only the original in arabic? Ask him, this could be reason they ask you for another copy. As for timing, I think if you have interview still may be some time to wait. Some sisters here have their file in Rabat since June and they still wait. This is normal, it takes long, alhamdulillah we are lucky in Rabat as they post only 8 month time, some other countries have more than 2 years to wait. if you need anything else you can send me message, and inchallah i will help you as much as i can. which city are you from in morocco? thalla frasek Asiya

andyloonz, I have to agree with Habibti, based on what we know of Rabat VO so far they may make it quite difficult for you, but maybe instead of spending money on a consultant it would be a good idea for you to go to morocco 1 more time before you submit. Sometimes one of the red flags you posted on its own won't cause too many problems, but having 3 or more ... Just remember that they have seen all reasons and explanations, as they process over 1000 files each year for spousal sponsorship.
