Its my 3rd BOWP. My passport was expiring soon after when I applied for 2nd. So got the 2nd BOWP for 6 months only. Yes, I used the same AOR.

Hi are they issuing the bridge open work permit as per the passport validity date only??
my passport is going to expire in another 6 months and my work permit expires in 3 months now..
so in this situation what will i get if i apply for BOWP and also what is the price now for BOWP

Yes, they only issue any permit till the validity of the passport. If your passport is expiring soon. Better apply your passport first and then the BOWP.

For the fee, I am not sure. I think, its $250 now.

The processing time is now 56 days. They keep increasing 3 days every week (its almost as if they get set back due to people applying on weekends while CIC doesnt work weekends)

Ugh! So frustrating. I'm literally waiting on that so I can start working again. I believe this new Express Entry business is slowing down processing for everything else. Those people are getting ITAs, AORS and med requests so quickly, while the rest of us wait & watch the time increase while we wait.

I decided to resign from my job (closed work permit) because the conditions weren't good any longer. So I can't work again legally unless I get lmia or open work permit. My TRV expires July 31st.
