Looks like this is getting too weird. There is not enough detail to comment upon this here. If your filled address history matches with the PCs provided and they cover the entire period since the age of 18, then there is little to worry about. CIC doesn't go that deep to see if you have a degree from another city where you must have spent two years vs PC being from a city 1200km away.

They stick to their requirement which I mentioned above. a) Entire period since the age of 18 b) Should tele with address history in case address is mentioned on PC. If address is not mentioned then just full period mentioned by the rightful issuing authority from the country is enough.

No, IMO. As long as it does not mention specific addresses or time periods, you are good to go!

@fkl I have just one PCC from the address mentioned as my permanent address on NIC and that address (on NIC) never changed since I turned 18 although I lived in different cities and mentioned those in address history as well. I am a bit concerned that how would CIC know that my permanent address never changed as permanent address is not mentioned on my passport and my NIC (which I uploaded) had address in Urdu. I had smart NIC which had everything in English except the address. Do you think it is something to be worried?

I can't say for sure if it would be an issue or not. Of the people I know who got PR and used their permanent address for PCC (which was their like family home) they also filled the same in their address history, even if they lived in another city for a few years studying or working. So I consider this the safest option (besides getting PCC from each and every single address)

Recently there was a refusal for some one from India who mentioned multiple addresses in address history but submitted PC from only one. His PC mentioned the address too.

So CIC has no way of knowing that permanent address never changed. I doubt that they look at NIC. In fact if I remember correctly, NIC wasn't a mandatory document. At least I didn't submit it when I applied from in side Canada although I did submit it when I applied from home country for work permit years ago.

Thanks for the quick reply. I completely agree with you that the safest option is to give the address of family home (provided it is on NIC) and give same address in address history and that should be fine to get one PCC. For me I already have submitted my address history so cannot do anything about it. I infact went to get PCC from Local SP office where I currently reside and they refused to give me PCC and asked me to get PCC from the address mentioned on my NIC. So I was left with no option than to get the PCC from the address mentioned on my NIC.

For me I was asked to upload NIC probably because I applied from Pakistan. I also doubt they look it NIC (even if they look, address is in urdu).

Hi All!

PLS Guide: I am the primary applicant but my husband (dependent) has studied in Chandigarh for 4 yrs during graduation . But in the address history we have mentioned our permanent address of Delhi only.

Similarly; he has obtained PCC from PAssport Office Delhi only in which they have not mentioned any address.

Is it fine Huh??

Should we need to mention chanḍigaṛh address ? Do we need PCC from chanḍigaṛh Huh?

Thanks in advance!

I have been seeing a lot of posts about separate PCs for different address lately? Is this a requirement specifically for India?

That shouldn't be a concern. Your PC matches with the address history you mentioned. And at least the address on NIC is not a 3rd address. It is always possible to not have updated NIC
Thanks !!

If you get a PCC from PSK, you'll be fine (this PCC is not time/geography bound). So, apparently, CIC considers this as a PCC for the entire country!

PCC s issued by the local police authorities are (most of the time) time/geography bound. This poses a problem when the PCC mention specific addresses and time periods (while the applicant has lived in other addresses too and mentioned them in the address history section).

Not unless one gets a PCC from a local police station, as against from a PSK, which is anyway not the right method unless one is in a state called 'Punjab', then one has a choice of both local Police station & PSK but then they have to get additional PCCs from other places of stay as well mentioned in their 'personal history' or get JUST ONE from PSK only.

Fkl,

IMO, One has to mention his correct address history, it's not about permanent or temporary. Not mentioning the correct address history where you have have lived in last 10 years is misrepresentation.

Those who are rejected based on Pcc is because they have submitted time bound PCCs like Mr John has been living on this address Xxxxx from 2013.

Technically one should provide PCCs covering all the time after he turned to 18 till to date. So, providing PCC from your current address provided that you have been living over there since you turned to 18 is enough in your opinion, on your PCC it should be mentioned like living on this address since birth or since 2000 (if you turned to 18 on 2000)

Dear All,
I need an expert opinion on my case.

I am Indian citizen working in Qatar & aspiring to immigrate to Canada in future.
I applied under express entry & got SINP nomination later. I submitted my application after I got invite, however, yesterday I got rejection mail from CIC with below reason.

"The Police certificate from QATAR that you provided with your application is not acceptable. It does not cover all of the time you spend in that country. Your addresses/background information state you were in Qatar starting May 18, 2013."

When I got job in Qatar, I came on business visa and then after 2 months I got residence permit/ work visa. This is very normal phenomena is Middle East that companies on board candidates on business visa and later 2 months they process residence permit. In my Qatar PCC, they have shown my tenure from the time I got work visa (i.e. after 2 months/ July 2013) not from the time of my arrival.

Now these 2 months from my arrival on business visa to I got my work visa, is not captured either by Qatar PCC or Indian PCC.
I overlooked this matter when I submitted my PCC & CIC official cancelled my application rather than raising query.

I have stamp on my passport of my arrival date, travel tickets, even hotel booking when I landed in Qatar so I can prove that my claims are valid that I was already in Qatar on business visa even if my Qatar PCC states the time from my work visa.

My questions are as follows :

1. Is there any way where in I can talk or send email to CIC to explain the misunderstanding of my stay in Qatar as per PCC & ask them to reconsider existing application only?

2. Shall I approach Indian Embassy of Qatar or Qatar PCC authority to get these 2 months added in my either PCC?

3. How can I ask for extension to SINP showing my case?

4. Do I need to create new express entry from different email address and ask SINP to re-issue nomination with revised EE number?

5. Can I use same medical records or again I need to go from medical examinations ? (It was completed last month only)

Thanks in advance.

You can send request to SINP and they will transfer your case to New EE profile, and this is the best option.

When you came in Qatar on business visa then you have to exit the country for visa transfer to RP, have you done that?

what is your AOR date and have you paid RPRF?

Hi Gujjuboy,

It's really strange. I can not understand.

I am also in Qatar. I also have similar experience where i came initially on work visit visa. However, later on moved to Work residence permit.

Qatar PCC only got from the date of Residence permit which i submitted along with my E-Apr application. So far no rejection from CIC. Not only in my case but also my college who got his PPR.

In Personal history, i mentioned all the employment periods without any Gaps. Qatar PCC from the date of RP and Indian PCC from 18 years. It should not be problem in your case.

Please refer below my suggestions

1. Send CSE immediately explain the requirement of Qatar PCC and attach all your details related to your business trip( copy of business visa, tickets and other stuff). Tell them that you are on business visa. Qatar CID will only consider from the date of RP. Attached your employment contract and also include your Employment letter.

2. Create new profile and contact SINP to accept your new one.

I am sure they will re-open your case. No doubt.

Send me your personal contact number. so that i can call you as i am in Qatar.

Be cool. you are okay.
