What do you mean "Insufficient time period of PC"

I had submitted the PCC for my country but it had the date I shifted to my current address which was in 2013 after marriage. CIC cancelled the application on the basis of not providing PCC since 2006. I was under the impression we get only 1 PCC from 1 country and same city.

Come to think of it, yours is probably the first instance of a Pakistani applicant being rejected on the grounds of PCC. There were reported refusals for Indian applicants for the same reason in Sep/Oct which led to this whole debate on time-bound and geography-bound PCCs and getting it from federal passport authorities instead of provincial police authorities. Pakistan doesn't appear to have such a system - the CIC page appears to imply that city-based police authorities are fully authorized to issue PCCs after you provide them with the NIC which, presumably, might trigger a search on some central database maintaining criminal records of all citizens across the country. Hope you get an early resolution to this and have a successful application this time around.

All the best!

Unfortunately, Pakistan does not have a central data base of any kind. Not even on a city level. License or police clearance from one locality's police office / DL authority cannot be cross checked or accessed at an office from another locality in the SAME CITY.

The only way to get a single PC listing multiple addresses, is when you are say in Canada and apply to Pakistani consulate here. But that takes months and is only applicable when you are not in Pakistan. So the best way is to either get a single PC based upon address on National ID card (NIC) which would say "you have lived on this address for the entire period" which actually may or may not be true. Or get multiple PCs - each from the actual address you lived - which is a pain.

Most people I know (including myself) have done the former.

Yes Asivad. you are right. In Pakistan, PCC is issued from the office of District Police Officer which is based on feedback from Local Police Station of residence.

OK so I'm from khi pak , and I've recently got my single pcc stating two different addresses . its very simple go to the thana tel them all the addresses and time duration u need to fill a new form for each different address . but as the signing authority is dig therefore all the forms gets merged and u get a single pcc stating two different address from two different regions like for example one in pechs and other one from gulshan

If multiple time periods are mentioned that covers your entire stay in the country, then you are good to go. The problem is when people have lived at multiple addresses and the PCC doesn't mention all of them. If the PCC doesn't mention any address/time periods at all, it is presumed (by CIC) that the PCC issued is for all the addresses and time periods you have lived in the country.

same situation with me as well .. But I choose to have two different Certificates for timeperiods at different address.. Its just that you have to pay Twice

Thanks Raza. Now that I already have one certificate for a time period from area A, will the same police station issue me the certificate for the earlier time period for area B? Or do I need to go to area B police station only?

I got rejection yesterday because of PCC issue.

I'm an Indian applicant and had lived across three different cities. But I got my PCC issued from permanent address instead of all three locations.

Will need to resubmit a new express entry

Sorry to hear about your refusal.

Recommend that you approach passport authorities for your PCC. Those are accepted by CIC for applicants from across India.

Sorry to hear about it. Few questions to clarify?

Did you mention the addresses in your address history where you had lived temporarily for jobs/studies?
Does your PCC cover entire period of length after 18 at your permanent address?
When did you get AOR and after how many days they rejected your case due to PCC?

Feeling worried.

A general question:
How soon does CIC rejects an application based on PCC?
Has anyone from India with a PCC from local police station , got a PR?
