please can you share the materials you used in preparation am writing next month with IDP?
This is the course I did. Btw: even if you do the course through IDP, they don't actually write the exam papers, the exams are written by British Council, thus the exam papers are no different.

https://www.ieltsonline.com.au/ielts-master

As well as some Cambridge IELTS books for practice tests (you should be able to find these online). The 'master' course also has some practice tests but I wanted additional ones. I'm not claiming the course was great or better than other resources, I haven't looked too much at other resources to compare. It was holistic though, such that you can follow the course and not really need additional resources, this is why I liked it.

It is likely you can find free materials just as good online, but you will just need to spend more time combing through the internet to look for it. I suggest you take a look at the 'IELTS' sub forum on this website for more info/tips.

is anyone applying with bc pnp+ ee?, I'm going to apply both ee and pnp this week (my ee score is 434, and bc pnp score is 86), the bc pnp cut off is 89 now (for international graduate stream) so high!!!, it used to be around 70 few months ago and last year.... can't believe this is happening just right before applying, I think it's because ee cutoff is high, people are applying through pnp....:(.........I don't know what to do now....I already tried several English test....cant get more than now.....maybe I can if I'm lucky....anyone, advise please? :(

Oh! My bad.
But looking at 2017 data it looks like no. ITAs should be more than PR targets under FSW stream.
Total number of ITAs issued in 2017: 86,023 vs. FSW target 73700.
Any thoughts?
Here I am giving you an approximate calculation of last year ITAs.

Issued ITAs consist fsw, cec and a portion of pnp applicants. Last year fsw+cec target was 73700 and pnp 51000. If we assume 1 ITA ~ 1.5 admission and 50% of pnp coming through EE then we have-
73700 ÷ 1.5 = 49133 fsw + cec ITA
51000 ÷ 2 = 25500 ÷ 1.5 = 17000 pnp ITA.
Total 66133 ITAs.
It was said last year ~ 30% ITAs were wasted.
66133 × 30% = 19840 wasted ITAs.

So 19840 more ITAs needed to be issued.
66133 + 19840 = 85973 ITAs.

We don't exactly know how many admission per ITA and how many pnp applicants coming through EE but my assumptions seems pretty close so we can expect similar scenario this year too!
All the best everyone!

Hello Forum members,

I received a good and bad news today. The good news was WES evaluated my educational certificates as "Two or More degrees" and the bad news was, I missed the CLB 9 level by 0.5 points. I received my IELTS results today with LRWS - 8.5/7/6.5/7. I am desperate to migrate to Canada, so I am planning to sit again for IELTS on 21st April and apply for re-evaluation. If I did manage to get the 0.5 in writing, my prospects of getting an ITA is high.

I really get self-motivated from reading the threads from other members and how they stayed strong in their journey. I am sure, one day I too will pass these hurdles and land myself on the soil of Canada.

Pity, with your current score could you opt for a PNP ? Best of luck for your next attempt

Again wrong.

Last year only app. 1/4 of all PNP used EE. This year (if Alberta will kick in) it would be somewhere around 1/3
Plus the average family size is more around 1.9 per application. (some people do not have spouse but other do have children on the top which also count as landed immigrant).

73700 ÷ 1.9 = 38800 fsw + cec ITA
51000 ÷ 4 = 12750 ÷ 1.9 = 6710 pnp ITA.
Total 45510 ITAs.
If 40% ITAs were wasted.
45510 × 0.4 = 18210 wasted ITAs.

Totoal needed ITA was
45510 + 18210 = 63720 ITAs.

Which would mean, that they invited too many people and now they are cooling down. That is why you see 3 weeks gap.

Thanks, means a lot. Very down today. Without the magical 8.7.7.7 we stand at only about 384. I dont suppose there are any provinces open for us at the moment or are there? We are considering NS, but it only opens in autumn if im not wrong. By then we should have the desired ielts band id expect.
Im hoping that then with the 438 and NOC in IT Ontario may send us an invite, if not direct ITA. Luckily, next birthday is Jan 2019 only.

Not agreeing 100% with your theory! If they had issued too many ITAs then they would have understood that by the last quarter of the year and would have stopped issuing or issue very few 500-1000 ITAs per draw but they kept giving at least 2750 ITAs (except one draw 2000 ITAs) untill the very last draw of the year! I don't believe they made mistake, but there are must be some other data which we are unaware of. Anyways we are only few thousand short on issued ITAs this year untill sixth draw. This year I think we have around 17000 where last year it was about 21000.
Lets hope for the best!

Congrats. I submitted the OINP application on 7th March. Still in Submitted status. Is it safe to assume that application is complete and they completed preliminary check for all required document. I got confirmation from one key that mine is accepted when i submitted.

some people said no benefit of remarking if we have difference of 2 or more bands in two modules..
because then it is automatically checked for writing and speaking through two different examiners...
did you have 8.5 in any module when u had 6.5 in writing? perhaps not according to people theory...
