Congrats man! But isn't it ridiculous that they reject the same person under one category and approve under another...

I think its ok as long as I get my nomination. moreover, m thankful to them to consider my later application to change my application SRS category. Otherwise I was fucked.

did they tell you they rejected my EDS file? they process your EDS in dec 2014, that is fast!

Yes, they called me to ask if I have a positive LMIA yet. and when I said I dnt have it. they told me they have to reject my application as they cannot put my file on hold or wait for me to get LMIA.

They may do it now. At the end of last year they were just rejecting a bunch of people. To get LMIA nowadays is almost impossible, especially if your NOC is under B or A.

As per personal experience they may not wait until ur LMIA is processed coz when they called me I was already waiting for LMIA for more than two months. I tried to explain that to officer. But I don't think it matters to them how long it takes us to get it. They just wanna know if we have it or not.

Hi there,

applying for lmia does put u under implied status and u will get ur AINP cerficate even after ur visa expired. that's been the case with me. my work permit expired in Novmber 2014. my employer had applied for LMIA and I was under implied status and received my nomination yesterday

I called yesterday and my application is still in queue as well

That's a good question! They probably processed no more than 100 applications this month. They could be doing this on purpose - give a few nominations to people on FIFO basis and the rest will be issued based on labour market.
