You mean PGWP is being treated nicely? Please have a look at the time line. PGWP is the worst. I dropped my AINP application on January 30/2014 ( that is today- I successfully competed one year of application). I have only file number since then. That is it. How PGWP being treated nicely? I could not understand.

Buddy, I am in the same situation - holder of PGWP. I just was a little bit confused, as the article is for TFW protection only. I wish they put the same about us, people who invested time, money, effort and might get nothing.

AINP is intentionally creating a backlog. Having 10,000 files already, yet they are still accepting new. They are not giving us any information, absolutely nothing.

Did anybody call them today?

I officially in my 15th month of waiting and my WP is expiring soon. :-X
There is no point in calling. I think you should urgently look for LMIA. They say at least 13-15 months so it can be more than that.

Like I've said before, I think they're just taking preferences on particular profiles. Based on what? I don't know, but that is what they're doing.

Is not an specific stream, or a specific NOC code, just a specific profile of people they choose first.

I got mine really quickly, and some applicants of my same noc have been waiting for over a year. I'm a PGWP holder, and many PGWP holders have been waiting for over a year.

It's sad, and I'm thankful that for some reason I got mine, but I've realized that they're just pretty much looking every file and saying "this is worth it" or "this can wait".

the person whoever is guiding the application processing in Alberta will have to face god very badly. Everybody understands that it is difficult to work but they have to come up with something that is understandable and reasonable to applicants.

I know some people who are going back home after a year and a half waiting for the nomination. They cant find LMIA. Im next in line to go back home. Ainp really sucks. Accepting more applicants will just make our waiting longer. Losing hope.

haha maybe maybe. Who knows what are the guidelines being followed in order to choose candidates, but one thing I think for sure is that they do open every single file they get the moment they receive it. Because if not, how do they even choose specifics candidates?

That's why I think they open file, if it looks interesting they process it, if not they put it on hold with the backlog.

We're just guessing here anyway.

Of course they open the files cause they need to assign the file number to each application. They input everything into their computer system (I hope) then.
If I were one of the guys whose PW expires soon, I would go protest by the Telus building early in the morning when they go to work. This is insane what they are doing.

only reason i can think why not lots of ppl got call or nomination this month b/c our files sitting in corner for a year gathered so much dust that it took them whole month of january just blow all the dust..so i guess its cleared now and ready to roll next month... :p :p :p

by the way this month is almost done so we have 10 months of this year(i didnt count december since obviously they gonna run out nominations by then) with 500 nominations gone(as per last year's monthly avg.).so we have 10 months, 5000 nominations and around 10000 application( tht number is not going down for forseeable future) with lots and lots of november 2013 applicants..
