Now it totally depends on AINP, if they r picking files based on NOC codes you shud be good in couple of months from now. but if its based on Categories ( SRS or EDS) I cant say. as you still have time, I recommend you to apply under SRS category as it is faster (way faster). all of my friends...

I applied under EDS on mentioned date in my info. but my work permit was expiring in Nov 2014, so I wrote a letter to ainp to change my application From EDS to SRS category in November as my NOC is under engineering occupations

As per personal experience they may not wait until ur LMIA is processed coz when they called me I was already waiting for LMIA for more than two months. I tried to explain that to officer. But I don't think it matters to them how long it takes us to get it. They just wanna know if we have it or not.

Yes, they called me to ask if I have a positive LMIA yet. and when I said I dnt have it. they told me they have to reject my application as they cannot put my file on hold or wait for me to get LMIA.

I think its ok as long as I get my nomination. moreover, m thankful to them to consider my later application to change my application SRS category. Otherwise I was fucked.

I Sent my EDS application in march. And wrote to Ainp about changing my application to SRS somewhere in end of october

Sorry, My bad on that. I was under Strategic Recruitment Stream Engineering Occupations . Sorry for generalising SRS as all the Candidates I know are under Strategic Recruitment Stream Engineering Occupations . I forgot there are other categories under SRS too.

Yes they did reject my file in Dec that was EDS. But later when they received my letter. The did consider my request and re-processed my file under SRS. I had lost hope and wasn't expecting anything until Jan 14 when they contacted me.
