Processing time for spousal visa - Sri Lanka

Yes, i had same issue. My wife was keep asking me to go temple on new year and i was saying no. I think i dont need tell you who was the winner, you can figurit out..lol
I asked for salary rais at my work...and manager said he will try his best. If they dont increase it then i may need to look for new job. I am looking for change....i am getting mad easly now days...soi guess it is better to move somewhere before co-worker kick me out.

mel, i know exactly how u feel. i had to depart SL on my husbands bday, since i cudnt stay in sl any longer due to my pregnancy. I cannot even explain how hard that was. not only becos i left on his bday, but becos he cud not be near me on my delivery day...

only god knwos when we all gonna get the visa. yea i guess i might have to wait till end of may.

by the way im really sorry to hear about ur moms rejection to visiting visa. try getting again after a few months. i knoew a family here that got the visit visa after 3 rejections lol.

the weather is makin me even more depressed. I think we are gonna have a late summer guys.

Yeah we are going to try again in a few months. I was so looking forward to seeing her. I have no family here and havent seen anyone since June 2010.

I keep telling myself that its going to be ok and in some ways I believe it.

Need a break from Toronto though people!! I'm heading to Montreal for one night during Easter.

What plans for the long weekend guys?

Sorry to hear abt ur mother's visa rejection Mell. It has been happening to many nowadays. It's not like how it used to be back in the days. It is very hard because of a lot spam, especially for us Srilankans. They are being too harsh. But dont let this get by you, try it agian and eventually it will be in favor.

I thought i was the only one having this endless WAITING FOR SPOUSE SPONSORSHIP...hey guys...
My application for my husband was been started April 2010...t'was approved May 2010...was forward our files in colombo at june 2010.Lots and lots of emails for colombo embassy.November 2010 we recieved a letter asking my husband to pay for his ARC and finally they send a file for background check on RCMP.my husband medical just expired April 9, 2011...But until now SOBs!!still waiting...I was pregnant when my husband sent home...i was left alone all by myself now my daughter is 7 mos. old and it seems she is looking for a father attention as i saw how she love guys to carry her compared if my girl friends carry her..My husband and I snap alot of time for the whole time of processing...we cried alot...oh thanks for the skype!hehehe... all of this struggles,downs,hardships..you can name it.waiting for that visa for him is killing me everyday .But despite of all this ..this experience strengthen our love to each other...the more we try to listen,understand,comfort and care each other...so...CHEERS..to everybody and take this challenge like my husband and i deal with it...

ceahM that is an unusually long time. did ur husband serve in the military or did he have any political involvement at all?

There has to be a bigger issue or reason for it to be taking this long.

You should order your CAIPS notes. It really should not be more than a year for the whole thing unless ur case is complicated or they have made a negative decision on the it. Again, order your CAIPS notes as that will give you more info.

Hey,
How was ur long weekend? Did you pray for us at MTL church as well? My wife went to visa office and asked update on our apps. They told her that they wouldnt touch the file until it pass 6 months from the date they got the app. So I have 2 more weeks to pass that 6 month time line.
Any update at ur site?

MTL was good I got so carried away and forgot to pray for anyone else..

I will do so tomorrow when I go to church..
