Hi guys,

I applied for my parents in Dec 2008; sponsorship was approved and we send Medical Report and Police Certificate. Now on 'Permanent Residence' status of my parent's showing 'In Process' since Mar 17, 2013. But still no update for Medical Reports received status on ecase. Even my parents didnt received any request to send their Passport yet.

Can anyone tell me, what is going on with my case? and would anyone please update in excel shared file of my info.

For the person who got letter for brother stating he is not dependent.
My sister got letter after our meds were done and ecas was showing meds received....we were waiting for passports with visas when ND send letter saying my sister can not be considered as dependent . She was 22 n 4 months old at time of application. I mean if I would have submitted application 5 months earlier then she was considered dependent....I mean, what's the difference...well it's been a month n half since we replied to their letter n no news so far....and I know few cases that did not get positive results....so don't knw what's gona happen....has been over 4 months since the meds done and passport sent......have ordered gems notes as well....can't really do anything except waiting....

It depends upon the Visa office handling your file , Sounds like CPP-Ottawa, Delhi VO usually ask medical and PP at the same time .

and its been 5 months since passport,medical and rprf submission

They send you letter for additional test and the consensus is that when you see meds recieved in your status = meds passed

Not necessary that they would send the letter to you. In my case at least, it appears that LVO ND sent a letter on Feb 25th. We never got it. But around the same time we got a call from the doctor stating that they would be sending additional reports to CIC. However, I am not sure that the two are related.

Yes, she was 4 months over 22 years at time of sponsorship application.

Hi, I'm new to this forum. I applied for my parents sponsership in july 2008 and medicals were done Dec,02012 , passports were sent in Dec,2012 too. My ecase status still says "In progress". I ordered GCMS notes 2 weeks ago and received the reply today.

We moved to a new address sept,2012 and did update on the cic website. In the GCMS notes, I noticed that they still have my old address even though my address was updated on CIC website long ago. Should i contact CIC? if yes, how? any number?

Also, I initially had my brother as an dependant with my parents and he was younger than 21 when I first applied but later when additional documents were requested last November, we didn't send his information because one of the agent we consulted told us not to send his info as he is not qualified.

I received a rufund of $75 somtimes in june or july of 2012 and i thought it was for my brother probably. I initially had my brother as an dependant with my parents and he was younger than 21. In the GCMS notes, they have mentioned that
"refund of overpayment of $75, processing fees were not submitted for the acc dep. unable to contact sponser for clarification.tried various times. dep included in sa's but not as an acc dep only as non-acc dep." i don't understand this part, what do they mean here?

I'm really confused, what should i do?

as long as it's app recvd, u can expect to get DM any time. Did u order GCMS notes?
