Hi Taking4eva: In my case, I got a sponsorship approval letter via e-mail exactly one week after the e-Cas changed from two lines to one line. At the same time I was able to log in into my parent's E-cas (before the search would turn nothing.) So I am thinking it is a good sign and CIC is working on your file.

just wanted to give you an update that yesterday my mom and her depedant daughter received a request for passports from Moscow. That is only a month after submission of medical results and additional background documents. So, the cases seem to be moving overseas.

My Dad is above 70, my Mom is under 70.They were taking Medical last December, in US, nothing like mentioned 'mental check' was done by doctor.

Probably depends on doctor's diligence or interpretation of the handbook ;D

By the way, what about prostate exam for men? Do you know if your dad had to undergo one during the medical exam or provide any evidence of having it done recently somewhere else?
The DMP handbook seems to imply it has to be done...

I sponsored my parents in September 2004 and I just received refusal letter in July 2012.(after 8 years of waiting) Ridiculous...They are waiting till our parents get sick... My father had a heart surgey with stems and he told them that he did the surgery. He was send for so many medial procedures. and now they are saying it is chronic situation. His doctors in Sri lanka says he is fine. I We are lost. Looking for a appeal lawyer in Toronto. please help...

My status is in one line for almost three weeks now so I dont think that this is any indication. Seems like the original sponsorship date has some weight as i have only seen a few people who got the approval with a sponsorship date in late 2009.

any news when they will start processing 2010 files?

Today my Parents Received passport with visa stamp from New Delhi.It took two weeks since they submitted passport to VFS.
It was long wait as i applied for them in June 2008.Finally this wait is over.

Feel really bad and sorry. I can't stop the words coming out of my mouth. You really need to sue these ba#t##ds who value only the money and have no concern about elders. They are comparing the immigration lot of today with the one that came from Ireland in the past and under really bad conditions where they had to leave their loved ones no matter son, daughters or any other family member due to the harsh realities at that time. This is not the case now. We immigrants are being selected based on our skills and the advantages that we bring to this society. We should not be required to make those hard choices in order to settle here.

If you can prove that your parents did not had that chronic conditions fews years back then should be able to make your point in court that due to delay made by CIC your parents got older and now in a condition due to old age and you can not leave them alone. Also sue them for damages that you incurred for waiting that long as at the time the waiting time was only 2 and half years. And also the damages that you will incur in case you have to go back to your country in order to take care of your parents.

I came to know from my MP on 5th OCT 2012 that Delhi CIC send my mother a letter requesting updated info dated 3rd Oct (I guess same as yours as I have my sis as dependent and file from Nov 2007). Then I was thinking what kind of info would they want now??? and on 9th Oct when I saw your post I now know it would be the same as yous letter and Medical request.

My mom still have not received that letter in india. Can you tell me are you very close to delhi?? My mom is in Mehsana-Gujarat, this delay in getting the letter is so annoying me??

so dnt worry ....if CIC-ND sending that then ur family definate will received.....in next few days

CIC-ND ask for everything again...family infomation,PCC,Educational history etc....
