parents sponsership joine here

hi i m a new member here.applied for my mom in dec 2007 ,file transferred to new delhi in oct 2010,medical passport n documents requested december 2011,doc med n passport sent in jan 2012...tracking online shows application received .....more than five months passport is with them .we had some other travel plans but i dont think we could do anything other than waiting...is it normal that they keep passport for that long?

i also sent medicals and passports in january.. we had applied in aug 2007..
and till now no news.. they have been sending medical requests to people who applied in 2008 ??? but haven't given visas to 2007 applicants yet

Hey Mr Barnala, my application has been received on the same date Dec 31,2009 and I called the CIC on may 1,2012, they said they will start sending additional documents request in about three months from that date, and we will be in that batch for sure the agent said. so I hope we will receive something in Aug, I can't wait!!

I would suggest to order CAIPIS as I noticed that some did not get the request as their information i.e. email address was entered incorrect by CIC in thier records. Are you the representative otherwise it would go to your parents address by mail instead of your email.

It happened with mine, my address was typed incorrectly by CIC, I saw it after I got my CAIPS. I filled out IM5476 to New Delhi, now waiting...

Hi,

Has anyone from this Forum received medical request around 26th April and got their status changed? Mine medicals were received by Ottawa on 14th May 2012 and still no news neither status change nor request for re-medical.

My father's medicals delivered on May 17th to Ottawa office, today I can see "medicals have been received"

i believe that you need a consent even if you are a sponsor... not sure if you need a consent if you are a representative - probably not... you can ask CIC...

Thanks for a quick reply. Did you send consent forms when you ordered? Or if any one else in this forum sent the the consent forms being sponsor?
