While I have applied for PGP for my mother and waiting to hear back. With my family size without using co-sponsorship i filled out the form , I am barely eligible (1000$ more than required in 2023). My mother-in-law wants to visit Canada as tourist. Can my wife apply her tourist- family visa? will this impact my application?

Go ahead.

Hello folks, I received a letter to submit my biometric payment confirmation for my parents' sponsorship application. Is it normal for the sponsor to also need to do biometrics?

This is the actual request : You are required to submit Biometrics in support of this application. However, you must first pay the Biometrics fee of $85 for yourself. Once our office receives proof of payment, you will then receive instructions for completing the biometrics requirements. Refer to the CIC Website at www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/index.asp for detailed instructions on how to pay immigration fees.

It ask for your biometrics payment only.

AOR received today.

Application submitted on july 31. Good luck everyone

If it needs to be reviewed by a healthcare worker it can take 1-2 months.

Hi Everyone, quick question though it sounds so simple but I am confused a bit. I got an email asking
"proof of relationship (SPR): Your birth certificate has been received as proof of your relationship to the principal applicant and dependent. If the document originally issued by a government authority was not in English or French, please provide a certified copy of both the document in the original language (Birth/Marrige/Death/Divorce Certificate) along with a certified translation in English or French. Additional information is required. Please provide a copy of your Bangladesh Passport and old school records."

Now the birth certificate I provided initially was issued in English to begin with so not sure why they are asking for it again. Should I tell them it was originally issued in English so I don't need to give certified copy. Not sure what they mean by certified copy either. Do I need to also do the same for the school records as those were also issued in English too and I didn't translate them. Please let me know your thoughts.

Hello, I've question about the Passport Submission Request: Only my father (principal applicant) has received this letter, and my mother has not. Is this expected or are we missing an email from the IRCC? Thanks!

Sorry, I do not know the answer. I am still waiting for my parents PPR email. May I know your parent's application timeline? Thank you.

This is just a standard reply so you can disregard the parts that do not impact you. If the you submitted government documentation in English there are no issues. If you received official documentation from the government of Bangladesh in English for your school records also not an issue. If it makes you feel better you can confirm via webform that you have submitted all government documentation in English so will disregard the message you received. It will take a while to get a response.

PASSPORT REQUEST IS ONLY IS ISSUED FOR PRINCIPAL APPLICANT BUT DEPENDANT USE THE SAME REQUEST LETTER. IF YOU READ THAT LETTER CAREFULLY IT SAYS PRINCIPAL APPLICANT AND ALL DEPENDANTS
