I would call IRCC and check. They told me to wait as processing time is 2 years but they confirmed nothing is expected out of me at this time. I am waiting for IRCC to come back with a reply.
Just got an email yesterday asking to provide 3 things.

[1] One is to provide more details regarding my relationship with the applicaiton (my parents)
[2] To refill the " Personal History (Section 6) and/or Address History (Section 10) since the age of 18, or the past 10 years, (whichever is more recent) and does not contain any gaps.
Note: For question 6 in the Schedule A, if you have not worked in the past 10 years (e.g. you’re retired), you must provide details of your personal history since the age of 18. Please submit the eIMM5669 (2022-04) version. https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/pdf/kits/forms/eimm5669e.pdf ". Not sure what this eIMM file is for.

[3] And also need to send resumes with details on anythingCV/Resume includes information since the age of 18 and does not contain any gaps which I dont think I had any gap when filed it but have to recheck to confirm.

oh really. we have already been asked 3 times to provide additional details and documents, which we provided with explainations and affidavits stamped and signed by a notery. We received all of the letters that we were supposed to and completed the biometrics and medical requests that were sent to us. how are we still at the beginning of the process? what else would we need to do other than a final decision?
The initial stages often represent information gathering.

Hello everyone, I'm in a bit of a unique situation with my parent sponsorship application and would appreciate your help.
We submitted our application in September 2024. My mother is the principal applicant and my dad is added as an accompanying spouse.

We submitted and passed biometrics, medicals, police certificates etc. we have recieved two pre-arrival letters.

We just got an email for my dad to submit his military record and schedule A.
The situation for the military record for my dad is a bit complicated. Long story short, we might not be able to provide the requested document on the military record for my dad in a timely manner as there are issues that we have to resolve administratively that could take months or even years.
I understand that we could communicate this to IRCC and see what they say.

Another option that we are considering is to remove my dad from the application. My mom is very eager and has strong intention to live in Canada with his Canadian kids and grandkids but my dad is not that much interested in residing in Canada anyways as he is busy with his business.
We are worried that my mom's application will be in jeopardy due to this issue.

My question is, can we remove my dad, who is currently the accompanying spouse from my mom's application so that my mom's application can move forward? If so, how can we do this?
No way to remove your dad. Even if listed as non-accompanying he would still have to go through the same process.

While I have applied for PGP for my mother and waiting to hear back. With my family size without using co-sponsorship i filled out the form , I am barely eligible (1000$ more than required in 2023). My mother-in-law wants to visit Canada as tourist. Can my wife apply her tourist- family visa? will this impact my application?

You cannot remove your dad from the sponsorship application. He is a dependent and even as non-accompanying, his security, medical and background check needed to pass.

Just wait for the application to process. Unless your dad has committed crime or violated serious human right during his military service, he will eventually be allowed to enter.
At the mean time apply for supervisa for your mom to temporary stay with you and your children.

I don't understand your question. They travel and will stay for months in Canada. Just update with webform after they arrived in Canada as their current address.
Once they leave, then update back to home country.

You do not need to submit PCC from Canada. Most cases, Canada can do check their clearance without you to apply for PCC. (some special cases, IRCC will request fingerprints. but that's not common)

Then it's up to you to update their address history and travel history or not.
I think since they are already back, I don't think it's required to update until IRCC request it.
(so it's up to you)

Hello folks, I received a letter to submit my biometric payment confirmation for my parents' sponsorship application. Is it normal for the sponsor to also need to do biometrics?

This is the actual request : You are required to submit Biometrics in support of this application. However, you must first pay the Biometrics fee of $85 for yourself. Once our office receives proof of payment, you will then receive instructions for completing the biometrics requirements. Refer to the CIC Website at www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/index.asp for detailed instructions on how to pay immigration fees.
