Agree with you 100%. Level of benefits will keep going down over the years. Policies will keep changing, best to plan and budget on your own.Yes great information but it is a pamphlet but they are painting a pretty rosy picture. For example getting help in your home is pretty difficult if you aren't very sick. Even if you are sick you'll be expecting a lot more hours than you may receive. Many of these programs will be gone soon under the Ford government or will be found under another name. The last things is because you are financially responsible for your parents for 20 years many parts of the pamphlet focuses on Canadians that have lived, worked and saved in Canada. Just warning people.
No change.how about your case? i saw yours was received on Aug 13,
I was following the forum for last few days and today was checking the spreadsheet. What I found out, almost everyone of 2nd round whose application was received by August have got DM for Sponsor and some of them have already got medical Request. I am the only unlucky one who has no update. I am feared and nervous too. Still they are showing that they have requested for additional document on Jan 08 and nothing yet an d 'In process" for both Sponsor and Applicant.
if I call the call center, do you think they would have more details about what's going on? Or any other suggestion?
changing from "in process" back to "application received" is a good sign, and it may be DM soonHey Guys.. My Sponsor status changed from IN PROCESS to Application Received last friday and today my Parents PR status also changed to Application Received.
Is that mean they have touched my file. I found some of them have faced similar. Can you give some light
It's similar for BC. Senior care is not cheap. Getting private care-aid is expensive (those are not even nurses) and low income parents will get subsidized care-aid (which may not be available for sponsored parents) and there is a long wait for gov care home.Yes great information but it is a pamphlet but they are painting a pretty rosy picture.
