Yes great information but it is a pamphlet but they are painting a pretty rosy picture. For example getting help in your home is pretty difficult if you aren't very sick. Even if you are sick you'll be expecting a lot more hours than you may receive. Many of these programs will be gone soon under the Ford government or will be found under another name. The last things is because you are financially responsible for your parents for 20 years many parts of the pamphlet focuses on Canadians that have lived, worked and saved in Canada. Just warning people.
Agree with you 100%. Level of benefits will keep going down over the years. Policies will keep changing, best to plan and budget on your own.

I was following the forum for last few days and today was checking the spreadsheet. What I found out, almost everyone of 2nd round whose application was received by August have got DM for Sponsor and some of them have already got medical Request. I am the only unlucky one who has no update. I am feared and nervous too. Still they are showing that they have requested for additional document on Jan 08 and nothing yet an d 'In process" for both Sponsor and Applicant.
if I call the call center, do you think they would have more details about what's going on? Or any other suggestion?

you are not the only one fisahma, I think need to wait more and there are many people like you and me in same time timeline. best of luck:)

changing from "in process" back to "application received" is a good sign, and it may be DM soon

I just wanted to share this:

Sponsorship - Decision Made
PR Application - In Process

I called IRCC and this is what I got from them - Your eligibility hasn't started yet. This is the message when you entered all the information they asked before transferring to the agent.

Then I opted to be transferred to the agent, he said I should receive letter by mail or email anytime soon. According to him, it is normal to have the decision made status for a while before receiving a correspondence. I asked him if he can give me an the detailed status of my sponsorship he said he do not have a access to do it :(.

Anyone, experienced this? Thank you.

It's similar for BC. Senior care is not cheap. Getting private care-aid is expensive (those are not even nurses) and low income parents will get subsidized care-aid (which may not be available for sponsored parents) and there is a long wait for gov care home.

Hello,
WIll really appreciate if somebody can help:
Can we add a co-signer later in application process or after we receive invitation to reply (just have 1 sponsor on expression of interest)?
