Yes the AOR states the same for everyone. As of I know kids are not suppose to write any knowledge test. Once one of their parents become citizen they qualify automatically and get citizenship.

Even I received my AOR yesterday at 6:35 pm Vancouver time. My application was received on Nov. 07, so almost 3 months.

It was actually between 10pm and 10:30pm for the 3 AORs. I think probably it is an automated message that is triggered for all the entries that are accepted may be in a system for that particular day.

Do we receive a notification email after the AOR for the progress or should I check the ECAS for that?

The next email would be either for a finger prints or test invite. Only ECAS status shows the 'in process' status without any email.

are fingerprints optional? would you know what is the criteria based on which they ask for this? I have travel plans outside the country from 15 May for 3 weeks and getting anxious already.

Based on other people posts on this forum, it completely depends on your application and each application is unique. But some senior members expressed their view that if someone with your gender and date of birth has a record, then it will trigger the finger prints request for you, but I am not sure about it.

So it's pure luck and unique to each individual application. Hope for the best. Good luck.
