[size=10pt]Hi roxaida,
Nothing is lost or gone. You could be amongst those who should be delighted with this announcement.
The rules are effective 5 November 2011, which means that any applications filed prior to that date (i.e. before 5 Nov) will be processed as per the old rules. I.e. your application will be subject to the rules which were in force at that time. NO CHANGE.
In fact there may be some good news for you, depending upon which stage of processing it is in. Due to the faster processing of the current back log, which was part of the same changed rules announcement - your wait time may significantly reduce and integration with your parents / grandparents will be faster than previously anticipated.
This may perhaps be the reward for your prompt action in processing the papers etc.
Good luck!
