Hi! Same here I also won my appeal.

I won my appeal on January 9, 2012 and I was contacted on April 26, 2012 to redo my medical exams, submit my police certificates and to send a few updated generic immigration forms.

If you have any questions let me know :)

Edgar.

Hi Edgar

Actually I have several questions since our timelines are very similar.

How long did it take them to contact you after you received decision ? Do they contact you in Quebec and let you know or just your partner in Mex ?

Your lucky you are not in Ontario as timeline is slower here. I filed my appeal in April 2010. Full Hearing was August 2012. People tell me it is now 'fast tracked' I dont know who or what to believe anymore !! Please stay in touch !

I have contacted my MP. Is there anything else you can suggest. ? You would think after watiing so many months, they would allow our loved ones to come to Canada since its been approved (besides Mexico only became visa necessary country in 2009)

I was actually told that successful Appeal (family class) now go to Ottawa aas part of 'Pilot project'

I AM going through Ontario. I know that the Quebec flag can be deceiving, but I applied through Ontario because that's where my wife lives (I'm the one being sponsored). We're just planning to move to Montreal after I get my permanent residence.

It took a bit over three months for the embassy to contact me. My wife was told at the hearing that they were allowing my appeal.

There is no "fast track" per se. The file will now be processed a bit faster because they don't have to verify the relationship anymore. You should be getting an email (this month hopefully!) requesting updated immigration forms, another medical exam and your police checks.

All in all, the judge told my wife at the hearing that I should be back within 6 months to a year, and it's been pretty consistent so far.

I understand how you're feeling. Take a look at my timeline, I've been waiting for over three years, but we're almost there, don't give up! :)

Yes, just include a cover letter indicating you are sending a pre paid way bill for the PGR request, and you can put all your info on the cover letter. It doesn't hurt to send it now. Being pro active def seems to help :) DHL I believe gives you a waybill.. I'll have to check that, but we didn;t send an envelope.. just the waybill (or equivalent). The address is:

The Canadian Embassy
Immigration Section
Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra 193
Col. Granada
11520 Mexico, D.F

Please forgive my ignorance here, but did you mail the DHL waybill or did you courier it ?

Not a problem at all. Yeah my husband sent everything from within Mexico. The SSP unfortunately can only be done in Mexico City :( so after getting the SSP he sent everything from mex city or u can drop then off in person.

Yeah it's tricky, especially with a new job to ask for time off to go do paperwork so you can leave and go to Canada :) The PGR may be able to be done in his state though. My husband got his locally.

Hi All,
We received AOR from Mexico.
It asked for :

"original police certificates from the following places"

"Please submit an updated version of Schedule A Background/Declaration form (IMM
5669)"

"Please submit proof of your common-law relationship with your current partner of at least
one year. Documents that may indicate you and your partner have been living together as
common-law partners are as follows: joint bank accounts, joint insurance, lease
agreements, pictures, proof of communication, travel history, etc"

- I'm wondering, did EVERYONE get the last paragraph? is that like submit EXTRA proof? Im a bit confused as we submitted all of those things, bank accounts, lease agreements, pictures, communication, travel history EVERYTHING, it was pages upon pages thick. Are they saying they didn't receive this or is this standard with an AOR?

Should I email them and confirm?

Hello! Good to see you back.

I hope your trip went well and you and R were truly able to enjoy his intro to Canada.

The request for proof of common-law relationship is not standard (AFAIK) - I imagine it's either a human mistake (e.g., clicking an extra box for the automated e-mail) or somewhat concerning (usually, they only request additional information if they aren't convinced with the information you've sent).

I would order your GCMS notes (since it will take 30 days to get them you want to get the ball rolling) and also send them a case specific enquiry to see if they give you any insight as to whether it was an error or they really want additional info (and perhaps on what their concerns are). Given your story, I have to imagine you have more than enough proof you can submit so it's just a matter of seeing if they want more or it's just a misunderstanding.
