Thank you sooo soo much. I'm so sorry I haven't been around. We got back from our canada trip and i left right away back to Canada for work and have been working crazy ever since. Will be heading back to Mexico tho on oct.20th and looking forward to getting updated on emails and blogs! haha.OhCanadiana said:Hello! Good to see you back.
I hope your trip went well and you and R were truly able to enjoy his intro to Canada.
The request for proof of common-law relationship is not standard (AFAIK) - I imagine it's either a human mistake (e.g., clicking an extra box for the automated e-mail) or somewhat concerning (usually, they only request additional information if they aren't convinced with the information you've sent).
I would order your GCMS notes (since it will take 30 days to get them you want to get the ball rolling) and also send them a case specific enquiry to see if they give you any insight as to whether it was an error or they really want additional info (and perhaps on what their concerns are). Given your story, I have to imagine you have more than enough proof you can submit so it's just a matter of seeing if they want more or it's just a misunderstanding.

I'm going to order those notes. Question for you though, am i requesting electronic AND physical file? It says that I need to accompany it with the use of a rep form. I sent one to Mexico City already, do I need to incldue another do you think or will that one be sufficient?
So i would do "access to information act and the privacy act form" and fill this out, put all his information and my name for the requesters info http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563E.pdf "
Thanks
