The ARC is dealt within the context of your application and you don't need to file for it separately. You'll have to wait until they ask for it.

We went to Montreal for a week and stayed at a furnished studio a block away from a Metro station, it was a lot cheaper than a hotel. If you need the details just let me know and I'll send you the info! Yeah I bet it must be really hard for him, but he'll get used to it eventually. It's one of...

Yeah I don't really need my PR card, but I still get asked for ID if I wanna have a beer or two, so carrying my passport around on a weekend is definitely a burden and not something I like to do :P Everything is going well so far. We had a few hiccups when trying to find an apartment in...

60,000 dollars, or pesos? You could always share it with fellow forumers ;) LOL I'm kidding. If it's dollars then the amount has to be declared to CBSA when he lands, otherwise he/she is liable to fine and/or jail time. yikes! If it's less than $10,000 Dollars then there's no need to declare...

My situation is pretty much the same as tsjunx's: I landed on Nov 17th, both addresses are in Canada and it's been on Decision made ever since I landed.

Hello everybody! I got a question for those who have landed and have been in Canada for a few months already. When did your eCas change from "Decision Made" to "Complete"? Was it after you got the PR card, or before? I'm asking because I've been in Canada for a month already and my eCas...

I'm still lurking the forum and giving you all the support I can. Just remember "If Edgar made, then I sure as hell will make it!" I got my SIN today :) You time will come! Your timeline is somewhat similar to mine and I'm already happily in Canada (Soon your hubby will be too). If you have...

Hey guys! Just dropping by to let you all know that my landing was a success! :) Everyone was friendly (if a bit indifferent lol) The CBSA agent didn't ask for pretty much anything at all. All he said was "Hi" and after typing some stuff he just said "Is this your address in Canada?" And that...

Question for those who have landed! Does CBSA go through your electronics? For example, if I'm bringing my laptop to Canada, will they browse through my photos and stuff like that? I don't have anything to hide, except maybe that I'm a big fan of The Walking Dead so I download the episodes...

Today was a productive day! I quit my job. I got my Visa and I bought my plane ticket for Nov. 17 :) I even got to chill with Sillymemo for a while, we got our visa pretty much at the same time LOL. It's always nice to meet a fellow forumer in person.

Awesome! What kind of questions did they ask your hubby? I'd like to know. I wonder if they're basic things like Date of Birth, Full name (you know, confirming his identity) or sponsorship specific questions (things about you, your relationship, etc.) Anyone who already landed care to share? Oh...

I am baffled and frankly a bit offended when people keep mentioning this old stereotype that Mexico City is unsafe. It's NOT. Unless you're planning to get weed and coke from a dealer in Tepito and then wander around Iztapalapa or Ecatepec, you'll be fine. Murder rate for some global cities...

Congrats! From what I've heard, CIC only gives you 15 days to deliver your passport. So you might want to check on that.
