I was accepted as a sponsor for my husband and our application was transferred to the Embassy in Mexico City. Will we receive confirmation that the file has arrived in Mexico? Will they send information to my husbands's email?

Your husband should hear from them advising they received it and also with information regarding his police certificates (assuming he has lived in Mexico over 6 months since he turned 18 and that he currently lives in Mexico).

Ur husband was in the U.S During the whole process?
In the application for the residence did u write that ur husband was in mexico or US?
Sorry for the straight question :D

I met my husband in the U.S. (I am a U.S. citizen and Canadian P.R.) and we lived together in the U.S. for a while. Because I am a Canadian P.R. and not a Canadian citizen, I had to move to Canada to start the application process for him. Due to the visa requirement for Mexican nationals, he had to wait outside of Canada (in the U.S.). We did write on the application that he was residing in the U.S.

My husband was also in the US the entire application process. He didn't have to step a foot in Mexico, thankfully.

Hi:

My wife and I included in the inicial application my two dependent children, but now that the application is IN PROCESS in the Embassy of Canada in Mexico, one of my children told us that she now does not want to go to Canada and want to stay in her home country.

Is it possible to request Immigration Canada to take her out the immmigration application because of the reasons, while the application is IN PROCESS??

I would apreciate any advices! Thanks

Hi everyone..
Just a quick update for me.. after our painful 13 weeks of waiting after our PGR was sent in..we got asked for the ARC and we just sent that in now..
Just wondering anyone else sent in an ARC recently?

Hi Chuladaa, LiesaP just did the ARC. Can you remind me what your situation is, I am curious to see if we might be asked for an ARC as well, my fiance was given an exclusion order that expired on August 16, 2012. I am hoping we dont get asked for one since he is technically allowed in Canada now but just thought I would see if we are in a similiar situation :)

Hello everybody!

I got a question for those who have landed and have been in Canada for a few months already.

When did your eCas change from "Decision Made" to "Complete"?
Was it after you got the PR card, or before?

I'm asking because I've been in Canada for a month already and my eCas still says "Decision made" and there's no other info regarding my PR card or anything like that. Any clue what's going on? Based on the current timeline, I should be getting my PR Card in the second week of January.

Thanks! :)

Complete usually happens pretty soon after landing. You know your PR card has been mailed when your mailing address changes to Canada. Then your ecas will disappear and you won't be able to login anymore.

Hey all! We finally got our AOR from the Mexico VO! It took 3 months from the sponsorship approval date. No documents were requested, although we will be sending in additional photos this week.

My wife's eCas hasn't changed, she landed on Nov 16th it still says "In Process" when I click it it shows Decision Made, I'm guessing the same thing about her PR card. Both her mailing address and current address are the CAD one.

You should leave her on the application, the only other option is to sign a declaration that you will never sponsor them to come to Canada, this means if she changes her mind again there is no possility for you do sponsor her. She does not have to come with you if she is in your application, but it does give her an opportunity to come anytime before she is 25 with you as a sponsor.

My situation is pretty much the same as tsjunx's:

I landed on Nov 17th, both addresses are in Canada and it's been on Decision made ever since I landed.

Hmmm. Well it doesn't matter much. You'll get your PR card around the estimated date. We got ours late but he also hasn't really needed it. Nice to get though!

So how is everything going in Canada, edgar? We had a tougher adjustment period than expected but you've been to Canada before.
