Yes! I would never leave without my PS3 and Wife #2 LOL jk
Now that we touched this topic, CBSA requires that the cat be vaccinated against rabies, my vet said she can give me a certificate, I have a vaccination card for the cat and its Pedigree papers. Does the Vaccination card/Rabies Vaccine certificate need to be translated?
Eek. Hopefully your vet (or one of her colleagues) speaks English and can write one up in English for you. Otherwise, there are international certificates in a bunch of different languages (btw, Mexico actually requires those health and vaccination certificates to be issued if you ever go back for a visit with you kittie). Canada accepts just a letter that is signed that certifies the rabies ... and the good news is that you aren't getting ahead of yourself because as long as the rabies shot will still be valid by the time you land you could have the letter issued today - one less thing to worry about
.
The requirements for the certificate are at http://www.inspection.gc.ca/english/anima/imp/petani/felin2e.shtml
"Cats may enter Canada if they are accompanied by:
a rabies vaccination certificate.
The rabies vaccination certificate must:
be written in English or French;
be issued and signed by a licensed veterinarian;
identify the animal (as in breed, colour, and weight);
state that the animal is vaccinated against rabies;
indicate the date of vaccination;
indicate the trade name and the serial number of the licensed vaccine; and
specify the duration of immunity (otherwise, it will be considered valid for one year from the date of vaccination)."
