Your eligibility is passed and your security should be in progress. Once you give your biometrics, your criminality will pass too, and after security, then final review will happens and then PPR.

You are almost there. No need to worry.

Hi guys,

AOR May 8
CEC inland
CRS: 486 (minimum CRS 471)

I got 50 points for valid job offer. My job offer is till August 31st 2021. In my gcms notes after case analyst recommended pass the officer said “PA has valid job offer of arranged employment” on 31/07/2020. I am still waiting for biometrics but now my job offer is for less than a year from now.

My question is: can IRCC refuse my application based on the fact that the job offer is now less than a year or once the officer has cleared it then it is definitive?

@legalfalcon can you please help with this?

Your eligibility is passed, so no need to worry. If you claimed points for the job offer, the job offer has to be valid for at least 1 year from the date your PR application is passed, the date of issuance of your job offer letter does not matter.

Your security should now be in progress and as soon as the security is done, your application will be approved.

To read on security or the security screening manual used by CBSA see https://bit.ly/32EH6q6

I just called IRCC and the agent told me my eligibility is marked as recommended pass, so just waiting for the second officer to review. So relieved!

I just got my latest set of GCMS notes (requested aug 25th, drawn sep 1st). Nothing changed in it since the last set (which was requested end of july, drawn early august).

Status is still eligibility/security completed, criminality in progress pending biometrics, and medical status still mismatched (at the top it's in progress, but in the officer notes it's manually typed in as "medical:passed". Security is redacted.

the latest Notes entry says "file pending biometrics". I've seen others with a similar note but their's says "Approval pending biometrics". Not sure if these are really the same thing written in different styles by different officers, or if mine really means there's still more steps beyond biometrics - e.g. maybe a medical PFL.

I have submitted a webform this week to confirm the security pass assumption (it might be in progress) and the medical status mismatch from the notes. @legalfalcon - do you have any opinions on this strange medical status mismatch?

I know I'm fortunate for my file to have moved through everything so fast, but this process is still exhausting nonetheless.

Mine AOR May 07, and in the note 2020/8/20: "Biometric pending, file BF 90 days" , note on same date : "Sent biometrics reminder letter see outgoing" . Note on 2020/8/12 :"Biometric reminder letter to be sent".
I received a biometric reminder letter said that we has begun your application and to make final decision we need your biometric, bla bla. They know that we cannot take biometric bc service cannada not open at that time, but still send reminder, I dont understand.

I haven't hit the 90 days yet so haven't received this reminder (probably get it next week) but yeah it's irrelevant. Probably just system automation.

I finally managed to get through to the phoneline's waiting room for the first time ever after being hung up on after the last 15 tries ;) I know the phone responses can be unreliable in their accuracy but i'm excited to actually try it out for once ;)

ok so update from the phone call:

- eligibility = passed
- criminality pending biometrics
- security = passed
- infosharing = passed
- medical: the strange mismatch of data between assessments section, medical section and officer notes section is still unresolved. She said it's not an error that the officer noted "Medical: Passed"but then she also said the medical officer is the one that would set the assessment section's medical entry to passed (that currently says "in progress").

I have seen someone else post their GCMS notes here and their latest note said "approval pending biometrics". My latest note says "file pending biometrics"

I asked if this is just different writing styles, or if this should be interpreted as "there might be medical review and PFL after biometrics is done" for me. I was told that these two ways of writing the note mean the same thing, it's just a style difference. So, if true, that would mean my file *approval* is pending biometrics. So theoretically medical is passed and no further review needed for that... But she couldn't say for certain.

So either all is well pending biometrics, or I may still face PFL. Which is fine because my costs are below the threshold. It would just mean paying a lawyer to write the response and a little more waiting time.

I also asked about whether I should bother applying for BOWP if we're this close to finished, or if the wait for biometrics might actually take longer than my WP expiration (end of dec). The agent couldn't say for sure so it's best to apply for BOWP. But said that all the applications are linked in terms of visibility to the reviewing officers, so when they are looking at your BOWP they will look at your PR app progress. If it's close to finished they might hold off on the BOWP and let me go into implied status for a short while to finish it up then automatically cancel the BOWP.

Hi everyone, I received my AOR on may 29th, 2020. I paid 1125 online but for the difference amount should I wait for them to ask for it or should I pay it online? If I should pay online then what is the procedure?

And for Biometrics mine is still valid until 2027 (the one I got during my study permit) so do I have to get the Biometrics done again? If yes, then how can I get it done in Toronto?

Please do let me know soon.

Thank you!
Hello,

They don't consider biometrics taken for temporary visa in permanent residence. You can pay it and send the receipt through web form to speed up your process, otherwise it will take additional time for processing. You can use the following link to pay it
